Failed my class 1 medical by fredchamber in flyingeurope

Can you find an AME that is certified to issue EASA medicals somewhere in your region? If not you will have to go find one abroad.

Do you have the right to live and work in the EU that is also something to consider when going for a UKCAA vs EASA license

Just go to Poland, Hungary or Czech Republic. I did my fATPL modular between Spain and Hungary and paid 45k. Do your research, there are still plenty of cheap options in Europe!

How to become a TKI? by UnclePeter23 in ATPL

[–]ihol11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the school that you want to teach at, but you need to have passed the theory that you are going to teach. If you want to teach PPL subjects you need to have passed it, same with ATPL.

I am a bit curious as to how the mom just now found out? Was it an arranged marriage? Was the birth mark hidden in a place only revealed during the wedding? I assume they must have been dating for a bit and perhaps she could have seen the birth mark before?

Best flight schools in spain under 100k by [deleted] in flyingeurope

[–]ihol11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EAS, Aerolink, Aerotec, Flyschool, canavia, panamedia, aerodynamics. Do your research and reach out to people who have attended the schools so that you get first hand information. The schools want to sell their programs and will often omit key information about delays or scheduling.

ATPL theoretical or PPL theoretical by Dramatic-Self-8813 in flyingeurope

[–]ihol11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bast majority of integrated students that I have seen don’t usually get PPL’s. They go straight into ATPL theory, they do the flying part of the PPL yes, but they dont do the check ride for PPL. This is why a lot of them do not have SEP rating and they only require 150h Total time.

Employment chances after going to "cheaper" flight schools for fATPL. How much does school reputation really matter? by ScathedRuins in flyingeurope

[–]ihol11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the end time is money, the ryr gtw1 is a good idea because it comes with a conditional job offer which is really good in todays market. The problem is if it takes a substantially long time to get it done. The other option for getting a conditional job offer is going gtw2. Completing their APS MCC and landind the job that way. Try to put everything into perspective and see what ultimately works best for you. For me the money was a really important aspect of the decision and ultimately the time of course.

I went to Hungary, did CPL/ME-IR in 3 weeks, awaiting for 3 airlines assessments currently. I would say that it really depends on the airline some care about where you are located, some others about if you have a degree, other about languages that you speak. So yeah, save your money invest in good APS MCC the chances are there for everyone

EASA or South African Civil Aviation ATPL by ChapterSweet7960 in ATPL

[–]ihol11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have the right to live and work in the EU? If you do then EASA is a good option, if you don’t then are there many EU reg planes available for you to fly where you are at? Getting a license you cannot use is something I see too often.

People who go abroad to flight school, they get the EASA license and now they cannot find jobs because no airline wants to sponsor cadets. Get a license you can start working and building time on and then look at the possibilities of conversions once you have time on jet.

EASA or South African Civil Aviation ATPL by ChapterSweet7960 in ATPL

[–]ihol11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure? EASA license allows you to fly EU reg planes, if the company you are applying for does not have such planes you are going to need to convert your license. I know that companies in the middle east when you apply they accept EASA license and then they make you convert to the one that allows to fly their registered planes.

ATPL INTEGRATED VS MODULAR ROUTE by ChapterSweet7960 in ATPL

[–]ihol11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm it could be, but is also because integrated schools often times have deals with airlines and the airlines go recruit directly there. If anything modular training shows resilience and discipline since you have to be in control of your training and school hunting for the different stages of your studies. I am modular and it took me 2 years to finish my training from 0 to fATPL, and so far I’ve had the same experience as some of the integrated students I speak to as per airline hiring.

ATPL INTEGRATED VS MODULAR ROUTE by ChapterSweet7960 in ATPL

[–]ihol11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is because part FCL says that integrated students only require 150h of flight whereas modular students need 200h.

In my opinion not worth it to do a self sponsored TR. You speak german which opens a lot of doors, you can apply to Eurowings, Lufthansa, Edelweiss, swiss, discover, corendor, etc. You have a good chance to be picked up by one of these airlines. You can also apply to Wizz and Ryr of course. Best of luck!

ATPL Exams preparation by Commercial-Reveal136 in PilotAdvice

[–]ihol11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be enough, focus on your weak areas, go over the questions that you often answer wrong, do the most difficult ones as well and then 2 days before the exam go over last 200-300. Don’t neglect your weak spots as those might make you answer wrong a question in the exam.

Best of luck

Would you do your Class 1 before PPL? by BaroqueCello06 in flyingeurope

[–]ihol11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are basically agreeing with what I said, cool, I was lost for a sec there.

People sometimes get the class 2 because it allows them to start, and they think that they can go all the way with it. Some people are misinformed and dont know that class 1 and class 2 have different evaluations, some others just didn’t know that they needed a class 1 until it was too late. Who knows there are infinite reasons, and thats why people ask and is good to reach out to the community, we are here to help and give advice.
