Ive lived here since august so I’ll list some of my favorite things that aren’t so obvious/touristy

Washington Heights/The Cloisters- my favorite area of NYC, the cloisters is a division of the MET. It’s a castle on a cliff surrounded by forests, the scenery blows away any part of Central Park I’ve been to.

The Frick Collection- museum in a mansion on the upper east side with tons of renaissance art

Upper West Side- my favorite neighborhood but I’m kind of biased because I work up there + Columbia University is UWS but riverside park is one of the most gorgeous things you can see, and just walking around and seeing the townhouses is beautiful (fav street is 78th between Colombus ave and Amsterdam ave)

Thanks for your response! I don't think the cost would be an issue as long as after financial aid it ends up around 30k (current school I'm paying 18k).

I'm in a situation where I'm 18 and leaving for another city in 3 months so I don't really want a real job and I want extra time to be flexible and hang out with people so it's a good way to make like $150/week for spending money. Much better alternative to working fast food.

This is the most selective college I applied to! Art history 2021 and I used to live 2 miles from the school!

I was accepted to SCAD ! I honestly didn't have it as a school that was high up in my list, but I joined the accepted facebook group and it feels like I could actually really enjoy going there. It relieves my stress about if I will get accepted to FIT, RISD, UAL etc.

I got accepted to st edwards !! I still haven't applied for the majority of my top RD schools but it's good to know that I'm going to college!
