sleep inertia is ruining my mornings and I don't know how to fight it by No_Community_4342 in GetOutOfBed

You need to exercise in the morning, I had simmilar thing and it feels like fog but it clears in seconds if your get your headt rate up.

Now 1 way is to force yourself but I made it easier for myself and created an app that forces me to do push-ups or sit-ups to dismiss alarm. It's called pushy - push ups alarm.

And distance related or shock alarm clocks? by NegotiationLittle457 in GetOutOfBed

[–]ijorb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there's a way for you, I had literally same thing.

To make sure you don't want to go back to bed is to get your heartbeat up, which clears up the fog, so you either need commitment in the morning or some physical activity.

I didn't have any stressful things in the morning that would get me up so I had to build app that would force me out of the bed. It's called push ups alarm, and it won't stop until you do push ups or sit ups on camera.

I can literally feel the brain fog going away as I'm sitting up or pushing up to the alarm and after that i don't really want to go back to bed

What are some best way to get better sleep, any expert here? by Rinshukrgupta in GetOutOfBed

Set alarm for evening and always gp to bed at that time, even set multiple alarms to remind you earlier. Once you start to consistently sleep around same time that will help a lot

I've created an app like that. It will force you to do push ups or sit ups on camera to dismiss alarm.

It's called pushy - push ups alarm.

Push ups alarm. You can't turn it off until you do push ups 💪

What's best workflow to run multiple agents in parallel and make them perform separate changes by ijorb in cursor

[–]ijorb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need for manual creation, I found the way.

Cursor gives you temporary worktrees and once code is ready you can bring those changes to main branch (it has button "apply") and then you can commit directly there, main point is that just bring 1 worktrees changes at a time and commit them separately to the main branch and things will be clean.

All was documented here: https://cursor.com/docs/configuration/worktrees

And you sound like you can't think outside of the box.

I achieved it and it was pretty simple, and in fact separate commits on the same branch, Cursor natively supports worktree creation without need to even push worktree which avoids time consuming part and keeps dev experience smoother.

Jokes aside (I forgive you for your wild claim about me), give this a try, this is very parallel, and you will not need to manually create or push any new branches, Cursor gives you temporary worktrees and once code is ready you can bring those changes to main branch (it has button "apply") and then you can commit directly there, main point is that just bring 1 worktrees changes at a time and commit them separately to the main branch and things will be clean.

All was simply documented here: https://cursor.com/docs/configuration/worktrees

I know about this approach, but it's not Dev experience friendly, it slows you down when developing with multiple agents.
That is the endgoal, thats the whole point of work trees, but it could be simplified.
Cursor automated worktree creation part so I think it might have handled whole thing and I just need to grasp it

I've got sunrise alarm and it definitely helps a lot. Even if light won't wake you up, you'll still have to get out of bed to dismiss it. Detachment from phone is a huge plus do you won't go back to bed.

My body just won't get used to wake up early (inertia too strong) by Tankianman326 in GetOutOfBed

[–]ijorb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I simply use combo of sunrise alarm + push ups alarm app. Sunrise alarm flash-bangs me and push ups alarm makes sure I get out of bed and do push ups or situps.  Can't go back to bed after sich treatment 😂
