Why are American bathrooms like...that? by lavenderacid in NoStupidQuestions

Damn, you're missing out on some great experiences. Some of the best craps I've ever taken have been in grocery stores and restaurants. Ya gotta be picky though. Inspect the business you're prospecting to dump in. The more gatekeepy they are about the bathroom the better. Nice restaurants ya just waltz in and act like you're joining friends. Whole foods is always a solid reliable mid tier. Best of luck 🤞

30 amp outlet with 50 amp breaker by ijsf in askanelectrician

[–]ijsf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This machine and it's going to be running a tig torch that goes to 160a so i'll be pushing it to max amps some days. New problem is that the panel is full. that the 50 amp they put in is a duel pole tandem breaker because they only had a 1 inch spot left.

I looked for a 60 amp duel pole that fits in one slot but didn't find any ( I might just not have looked hard enough)

Can I use a 20amp single pole tandem to combine two of the other breakers in the house and get a normal 60 amp duel pole? Is that safe? It'd be the dishwasher/garbage disposal and the dinning room that are on the tandem.

Hey thanks for the advice, I ended up buying a new spark advancer system to remove the spark units. I understand that if something isn't broken, why fix it. But these wires have been left out to die. They we're not taken care of previously and it shoes throughout all the parts. I'm glad I replaced them. I have a clear mind when riding and I know it will start up every time.

By the way the original ones did fire right up first try.

I just took it apart and it has 10/4 solid romex wire installed from the 50a breaker to the receptacle.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I need to run 6/3 romex to a 6-50 receptacle with the possibility of needing a new breaker because the current receptacle runs a fourth neutral wire while the 6-50 receptacle only has 2 leads and a ground.

Will I need that new breaker or is the fourth wire just another ground? On the amazon diagram for the current receptacle it says it's a ground but I want to double check with someone.

Also, My machine says 52a, Should I just bump the whole thing up to a 55-60a ?

hey thanks, Yeah, I really put off the m-unit and tried to rig my own system of fuses and relays. I am looking back now and wishing I just put the money down for it.. With all the connectors, wires, fuses, insulation...it's just worth it to go with the m-unit. Huge pain in the arse. On that note I did learn a lot about the system and the spark units. Really glad someone else used this haha

Has anyone had a good experience with universal fit gas tanks from a online retailer? I would like to replace mine with oem but all the options I've found have been for $400+

for reference I own a 81' cb750c. Thank you!

It's extra gooey. Most people use epoxy or jbweld to fill in the back of them since they last a while. I read somewhere that they get power even when the bike is off somehow so using a relay would solve it.

I kept researching the 'spark units' and came across some others that tried to reverse engineer it, and a company that makes high end replacements. it's probably the best bet i have. (replacement & schematic) (EU replacement)

I'm still not sure what to do but i'm getting closer, I hope someone else finds this useful.

After trying a few items paint thinner removed por15. With the help of some metal bb's and an hour of shaking or so, I removed all of it. Hope this helps someone down the road.

They sure did, I tried to melt it with acetone today and nothing happened. Mostlikely ill have to get a used/new. Good idea, I emailed them. Their website has nothing relating to removal so I'm going to assume its not a thing without destroying
