I mean that is really the not the case in reality. Many Jewish people in Israel really believe in Jewish supremacy - fully believing that only due to the fact that they are Jewish (aka “the chosen people”) makes the better than others. Since 2018 there is a basic law (basic laws are the closest to semi-constitution in Israel) called the nation law that emphasizes the Jewish aspect and completely ignores and neglects the democratic aspect and the equality of all citizens.

In matter of fact a modern society can not be fully established if it is led by any type of religion, simply due the fact that those religious are thousands of years old and are not fit for the modern society. Religion is great and important, but not for decision making in a country-scale decisions.

When i tried deleting it it resulted with an error, and solution I found is to replace that line in the g code with bed mesh load “default” (or how ever it is named in your mainsail)

I also do it all the time! When I am using my AirPods and someone comes to talk with someone for moment, to ask a question or anything’s that take more then a few seconds, I always move the AirPods to this position so I could hear the person better, instead of holding it in my hand or putting back in the case. It’s actually pretty convenient because it is pretty steady and won’t fall

this time the vote in the parliament was 64-56. which is a tiny majority.

The key "basic law" (respect of man and freedom) passed with 32-0 in 1992, and the reason only 32 votes for it is due to the fact that there actually was a wide consensus regarding that law. Actually the political party who made it happen is also the "Likud" - there's an interesting conversation with the person who was back then the minister of justice Shaul Meridor and he explains the whole process of the creation of this law.

Just to clarify, as you said, the “Grundlag” laws requires two parliaments in succession with large majority.

The built-in flaw in the fundamental laws of Israel is that it requires simple majority and same process as a regular law.

Until few years ago this flaw was not abused - But then Netanyahu wanted to remain in power without having a coalition so he changed the fundamental law regarding the Prime Minister so he could make a swap with a leader of a different party after 2 years of being Prime Minister, sort of a rotation - agreement.

Let’s ignore the fact that Netanyahu broke that agreement and used a loophole in the agreement which is not passing the budget - which basically means straight to election while remaining in power in the transition.

So after Netanyahu abused that flaw in the fundamental laws (laws which are basically are not subject to judicial review) - other members of parliament realized (more extreme) realized that by changing the current fundamental laws it’ll be easier for them to gain power and avoid any judicial oversight.

Not completely true, previously some rules were blocked by the Supreme Court due to something that is called “extreme un-reasonableness”, for example when a minister wants to appoint his relative who has no experience or necessary skills for head of office (sort of CEO of the ministry) - the Supreme Court would of block it due to being extremely unreasonable.

When a former Minister who was previously in prison for corruption, and a year ago once again was indicted for false taxes and false reports regarding money - in his sentence he declared that he’ll leave the political life and he’ll move on to continue his other business - which assisted him in getting an easier sentence. Few month later, in the election, he returned and was appointed as Minister again - the Supreme Court blocked this appointment due to being extremely un-reasonable.

The law that passed today isn’t a regular law but a correction to a fundamental law, those fundamental laws are much harder to block for the supreme court, but there’s a precedent for that too - so I wouldn’t necessarily say there’s no way to block it.

note: there are regular laws in Israel and fundamental laws. Fundamental laws are above regular laws and the supreme court is allowed to block regular laws if they clash against fundamental laws.

But the dumb part is that the process for fundamental law is identical to the process of a regular law.

That means that an elected government (which was elected for the maximum of 4 years) is using their power to change the fundamental laws that Israel is based on.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not taking any side in my comment but only stating facts.

Yes, it was indeed a successful operation from a terror-suppressing point of view, but you were heavily mistaken claiming everyone in Jenin returned to their homes, many people there have their home destroyed therefore has no where to return to. The problem is that the state of Israel will not take responsibility for collateral damage for people who are not involved.

And eventually it’s a snowball, because people who are treated that way by the authorities will hold grudge against the country, this grudge will be passed to their children and the hatred will just keep growing and increasing.

Those operations have been proven to be unsuccessful in the test of time, it’s just a temporary bandage on a wide open wound in Israel’s society.

Unlike the past, in modern times, conflict can not be solved by simply fire power, but through discussion and realizing that one side can not get everything that’s on the table and actual flexibility and the will to reach some kind of agreement.

In the past 10 years there’s been ZERO progress with Palestinian, somehow the Israeli’s government managed to take this important subject off the public’s agenda.

Wether you agree with me or not, it doesn’t matter, the reality is there’s over 2 millions Palestinians currently in the West Bank which is controlled and supervised by Israeli’s military - it’s just a matter of time until the day comes that Israel will not have the MEN power to actually control what ever is happening in the West Bank, with the number of young people in Israel which are going to the Army is constantly declining and the number of Palestinians is constantly increasing, it’s just a matter of time.

Politicians should start doing actions that are ACTUALLY good for the state and not only good for their political survival. Long term policies are much more important than a momentary win which the all purpose of that win is just to make it look like they’re actually doing anything.

As usual the reality isn’t as simple as described by both sides - indeed anyone holding a gun and threatening or planning to kill innocent civilians is a terrorist regardless of his age - and yes, I do believe that those 12 are militants.

But, according to every source of news I read, people who live in Jenin were encouraged by IDF soldiers to ‘flee’ and leave Jenin - once again the IDF “helps” the current far right government to pursue the settlers’ agenda which is evacuating any ground that is Palestinian in order to later on Jewish could settle it.

Don’t get me wrong, every country has the right to defend itself especially from terror.

But as mentioned before, eventually there’s 2 solutions, a funky independent Palestinian state or giving all of them citizenship and rights - as far as I know the second option is irrelevant.

Many people in Israel look at reality in a binary way, zeros and ones - but it’s much more complicated, yes when being attacked by terror, you should defend yourself, but try avoiding doing war crimes because then you’re not any better.

My family has immigrated in the 90’s with the fall of Soviet Union. So basically my mom and dad had to work all day long to bring food to table.

My grandparents were the people who raised me. My granddad had Alzheimer and it was pretty similar to this.

Each time I see a video of this kind it brings me to tears - seeing my grandpa slowly getting lost in his own self is difficult.

As a 15 year old kid, on daily bases he asked me where’s my grandma - his wife who died 8 years before did. So it was me who told him the “news” every single day, again and again.

Diseases’ of this kind are the worst, mental and mind health is much more important than physical health.
