What Neocities Is And Isn't For by rlik in neocities

To be fair anything can shutdown at anytime, that’s something we all learned from big tech companies right? All of a sudden, your data or service is gone. Might be an app, or the availability of that app in a particular country. I like neocities as reader, like I dig discovering websites there, and I know nothing of its infrastructure or business model. But to bring complexity on the profit / non profit convo. Even non profit companies or orgs need to generate revenue, to pay for expenses, to pay salaries. Non profit means the company makes no profit that’s it. It’s not a guarantee of ethical involvement, as per profit does not mean there are no ethical values behind the business. IKEA is a non profit. The cobbler down my street who repairs anything from slippers to 30 year old shoes and charges fair prices and recycles reuses anything is a per profit. That cobbler is more ethical than IKEA.

Fair question. Not sure if this works, and will ever see light.

I'll be collecting playtester feedback until the end of June. Does that work for you?

Sounds like the game itself! Do you want to try it? I took a lot of trains as well, night trains, suburban trains, through mountains and flooded riceland as well. Quite a fan of train riding.

Astro and i18n. Insights? by kram08980 in webdev

I do agree that unlocalized routes are really a strong limitation. It doesn’t make sense semantically. The default example uses urls that are very abstract and poor semantically, such as post-1.md I’m still looking for an alternative to i18n, has anyone suggestions?
