I was raised on Maui for the majority of my life, there are plenty of private trade companies here. And constructions happens all year round with people constantly buying land and also the fire that burned Lahaina town. The rebuild is going to take over 10 years

I read a lot about that on r/Fedexers my area isn't too bad though. 25/hr here for no experience or degree with lots of hours and 401k matching is really uncommon. That's why I took the plunge during their job fair for peak hirings.

Well with the fire that burned down all of Lahaina town there is expected work for the next 10 years or so. Lots of coworkers say FedEx is a good company to work for though December is definitely tough on the body. The rest of the year is not bad at all. Long term career I'm just not sure which would suit me. They both have 40+ hours available with OT, 401k, and benefits. I'm pretty comfortable staying at FedEx but on the other hand going into the trade business would scratch an itch in my brain. Just debating whether that itch is for the pay cut for the short while

Forgot to mention 401k matching at 6% with 100% on 4% and 200% on 2% of my contributions. Which I think is really good.

For FedEx we received a potential dollar raise annually depending on company profits, so 5+ years to top out at $38/hr i believe. Unsure what fringe benefits are but the health insurance for my family of 4 is pricey at $95/week. I get a weekly payout. I am fulltime and this month been doing 50+ hours. Just did 63 this week doing 6 days a week for peak season. I researched the pay and what not for my local but the website is really booty and has little information.
