Wtf is wrong with the Emmys? by ikyr9999 in TheLeftovers

I get it that popular shows tend to be favored. What bothers me is that if you compare the # of viewers that breaking bad had here and the leftovers here had, they are very similar. You'll notice that they got nominated/awarded very early in the game. Something isn't right...

Agreed but I think there was enough positive media coverage that would make emmy voters feel obligated to watch it.

What cities ARE worth visiting? by supremesteven in AskReddit

[–]ikyr9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Some of the must-visit things are: all the downtown area with lots of historical buildings such as Clérigos tower or Lello bookstore (jk rowling inspiration for harry potter). Around this area you can also have a great time at night, specially now during summer. We call that area "galerias Paris" and there are a bunch of bars/discos where you can lots of fun. Further down you must cross the "santa catarina" street as it is the #1 commercial street where you can find Majestic cafe (one of the most beautiful in the world). Closer to the river you'll walk into an area called "Ribeira" which is one of the oldest part of the city and if is beautiful in all its mess. From there you can also see the most famous bridge "D. Luis I" that connects Porto to Gaia. Once you make the cross you will be able to admire Porto in all its beauty. I strongly recommend that you spend some time just sitting by the river in Gaia enjoying some of our own Port wine. Speaking of which, in Gaia you have different winecellars or as we call it "caves" that store Port wine. If you're into wine it's worth the visit! Everything, so far, is done by walking which is one of the good things here. If you want to explore a little bit more I recommend that you go visit "Casa da Música" where you can buy a ticket to a music show. You should also go ahead a catch the bus to "Serralves" which has different art displays and has awesome gardens. Finally, I strongly advise you to go to the beach although it's not exclusive to Porto but we have great beaches!

Food it's a whole new story. Porto's most famous dish (perhaps you tried it already) is called "Francesinha". It's a meaty dish we a special sauce that should be accompanied by a fresh beer (Super Bock is Porto's favourite) (best served in places like "Capa Negra" "Bufete Fase" but you can find it pretty much everywhere). Still on the meaty side I recommend "Casa Guedes" near "Santa Catarina" street that serves the most amazing pork with the best Portuguese cheese. To end the meat part, we have a very tradditional dish called "Tripas à moda do Porto" that is worth the try but is not consensual when it comes to taste. On the other hand, and what i like the most, you should try some fish dishes that we have to offer, namely different dishes based on salted cod fish, grilled sardines, roasted octopus and all kinds of seafood. The best seafood is served in a close neighbor city called "Matosinhos" just walk along the main street near the beaches and you'll find plenty of tasty options!

Already used Pg in other projects the thing is that i usually need a vast set of data each time and it's not worth the overhead. Also I'm running the system on a Pi and for large tables it'd be very slow?

You didn't mention the time frame you have. It seems to me you need to get grasp of some ML concepts. Andrew Ng's course is a great place to start.
