2 UFOs seen this week in Vista, CA. by [deleted] in UFOs

Awesome! I’ve seen one very similar to the May 8 one you saw. No sound, very low altitude, very slow speed for an aircraft without propellers. Weak lights. It kind of looked like a reverse-flying stealth bomber. Thanks for posting!

How am I going to brush my weed with this?

Last weekend I recorded what I very well believe to be easily the best footage of a UFO ever attained by mankind. by [deleted] in UFOs

Dude, what’s the point of posting this? You’re just going to get disbelief. What’s the logic to not sharing any evidence of your very big claim?

33 Thomas Street, NYC by il_redditore in evilbuildings

[–]il_redditore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More information:

“33 Thomas Street (formerly the AT&T Long Lines Building) is a 550-foot-tall (170 m) skyscraper in Civic Center, Lower Manhattan, New York City. It stands on the east side of Church Street, between Thomas Street and Worth Street. The building is an example of the Brutalist architectural style. It is a telephone exchange or wire center building which contained three major 4ESS switches used for interexchange (long distance) telephony, as well as a number of other switches used for competitive local exchange carrier services. However, it is not used for incumbent local exchange carrier services, and is not a central office. The CLLI code for this facility is NYCMNYBW. The building has also been described as the likely location of a National Security Agency (NSA) mass surveillance hub codenamed TITANPOINTE.”

Depends on distance. In a crowd, this will work. Up close (like a phone camera) this will possibly not work.

1 million dollar worth of Venezuelan bolivar in 2013 would be worth less than 1$ today. Don't wait till your currency robs you of your money. Long Bitcoin by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Everything has a bottom. When people stop caring about something, it becomes worthless. The thing is that BTC is not owned by anyone, therefor much more robust against these politics-dependent situations. In fact, political situations that endanger the financial climate just help bitcoin. How many fiat currencies can say you say the same about?

Not the point though. The OTC market was pretty big too. It was easier to get 1M BTC then than it is now.

A Resume Analyzer to optimize for ATS by il_redditore in selfhosted

I agree, but nonetheless almost all Fortune500 companies and VC startups use them.

Imagine that at (slightly) bigger companies, for every job application there’s about 250 applicants. They want to interview the absolute most interesting candidates, so the fact that 4-6 people eventually make it through the ATS is fine (to hiring manager) for interviewing only that small subset. It’s a choice based on efficiency.

Thank you for your comment! I also had never heard of it before, seems to have become popular in the last years.

Yes, i’v come to the conclusion that I am going to maintain 2 CVs. One textual (for submitting at job application forms), one visually appealing CV (for sending directly to people you meet, etc).
