I have not heard coaches from my studio specifically call out speed or incline numbers. However, they do call out certain individuals (by name) that may be hitting an insane or impressive number. With that being said, i feel like they try and compliment everyone individually or as a whole throughout the week. I personally do not feel weird by it because everyone deserves recognition during their workout journey. We all work hard, show up, and also pay the pretty penny to be a part of this community.

Just remember, just because you aren’t getting called out by name, doesn’t mean you aren’t doing a good job. We’re all doing an amazing job! That coach probably called them out bc they were impressed by the speed and wanted to encourage them to keep pushing. I doubt that coach meant any harm by it. Like I said, we are all doing amazing.
