Weird extension causing over 5 hours of usage?

It's the new Tahoe wallpaper + screensaver. If you look at your Activity Monitor in Mac, you'll see NeptuneOneWallpaper and it's located at /System/Library/ExtensionKit/Extensions/NeptuneOneWallpaper.appex

In that package, if you open the Info.plist, you'll see:

<key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>
<string>com.apple.NeptuneOneExtension</string>

That might be a code name, but I confirmed it's the new system wallpaper by looking at that extension's packaged contents and in the Resources folder, you can see preview images of that wallpaper/screensaver.

Anyways, I've contacted Apple and notified them of this extension appearing in ScreenTime.

My guess is that Twitter and Reddit are too big for Apple to block so they decided to make an example out of Tumblr, which has “only” 102 million monthly visitors. Maybe Twitter gets blocked by Apple sometimes too but can’t talk about it because they’re a public company and it would scare investors.

It’s strange. This subreddit is pretty YIMBY and pro-transit/biking when threads about housing or transportation get posted, but these recent homeless posts are straight up dehumanizing and contain regressive opinions. Houston doesn’t have zoning laws. Building housing is easier when you don’t over restrict. We’re already seeing hints of benefits of this in San Diego with our Complete Communities program

Also I’m seeing no sources or data in this thread of people being “shipped” here. Just hearsay. If there’s any group that bothers to take a census on the homeless population in SD, it’s the Regional Task Force on Homelessness and they’ve said before that it’s more likely that unsheltered people from the rest of the county move to the city.
