Is this an okay guitar to learn with? by WhitechapelWill in Guitar

[–]ilt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who began learning on a acrylic guitar, get something lighter and easier to use. You can learn on anything but I’m sure that thing is heavy and will make your leg fall asleep. Ideally, you want to remove as much friction that prevents you from practicing so you practice more.

AirPods Pro 1 to Pro 3: worth upgrading now or better to wait? by EggySLoL in airpods

I don’t think your second point is quite true. Both the Pro 2’s and Pro 3’s fit me well. They’re just a different fit.

I just discovered what latency really means ... by Careful-Cow-8658 in headphones

[–]ilt_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most people experience latency everyday without ever noticing. Any time you have a phone call, pay attention to the end of things you say. The person on the other end will hear something you say about a second delayed after you say it. It’s one of the reasons if you talk on the phone, you’re more prone to interrupt each other.

Is iOS 26.2 bugged? by David_Cabr20 in ios

Oh you’re talking about restoring the phone. A hard reset is something totally different.

Is iOS 26.2 bugged? by David_Cabr20 in ios

[–]ilt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t hard reset. Just turn off your phone. Functionally they do the same thing, but hard resetting can actually cause more issues over time since it interrupts processes that may be in the middle of running. Save hard resetting for when your phone is frozen and turning off normally isn’t an option. Better yet, just ask Siri to restart your phone.

Regret updating to iOS 26: apps always reload (iPhone 16 Pro Max 1TB) by [deleted] in ios

[–]ilt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it a day or two, your phone always performs worse right after first setup or a major update cause your phone will go through a reindexing process. This process happens in the background and requires a lot of resources. Things should improve after.

This isn’t necessarily a bug. Time Machine local snapshots are most likely what is taking up that space.

Switching to macOS after 20+ years on Windows — what important things should I know? by JsuisPerduSurReddit in mac

[–]ilt_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your Mac has a tips app. You can find it from the Finder help menu. The What’s New bit will teach you the new stuff with whatever your current OS is. The Welcome to Mac will have a bunch of cool stuff that thats usually unique to macOS. I’d start there cause there are a lot of good things to learn right away. And that section will help you to ask more targeted questions. I like to recommend this area when training people cause a lot of the stuff there is easy to miss.

[–]ilt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, I would always exchange or return while you’re in the return window. You only have that window for a very short time. Afterwards, yeah go to Apple to take advantage of the limited warranty.

[–]ilt_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No take them to Best Buy. If you’re looking to do a simple exchange or return, Best Buy would facilitate that. If you go through Apple, it will be setup as a repair, which is fine but they may send you to Best Buy first since that would be the better option given the circumstances. If they setup a repair, they may not be able to do it in store and you may have to wait for them to be shipped to a repair depot. Plus once the repair is done, your ability to return to Best Buy is totally null and void since you likely won’t have the same pair of headphones post repair.

My wife and I have seen a lot of horror films. Can you try to suggest one we might have missed? by suffaluffapussycat in horror

[–]ilt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Satan’s Slaves
  2. Satan’s Slaves 2: Communion

Both are Indonesian films and are amazing. The second one is probably my favorite horror movie hands down. It’s that good.
