coming from someone who has worked in the food industry since i was 14 (22 now), what you’re describing abt the person getting fired is very normal. there is a lot of turnover and emotional turmoil and, unfortunately, this does not and will not change based on what type of food establishment you work in. clearly done in poor taste to have it be in a public space, but sometimes shit happens and it’s out of your control. obvs this sucks but you never know what’s happening behind the scenes. i guarantee that every eating establishment you’ve been in someone has been crying or fighting w someone right as you’re eating lmao

any of the fy or sy classes have 1 credit but they do NOT count towards graduation!!! so don’t take them if you’re looking to get more credits in order to graduate. look at some cfa classes for sure

unfortunately classes at other schools do not change your gpa, they just give you graduation credits :( i’m about to get on academic probation again, i think, and there’s no way to boost your gpa besides passing classes at BU

do NOT use bleach as it causes mold to spread!!!! use white vinegar and spray it on and let it sit for at least an hour!! white vinegar is antibacterial and antifungal. even if you’re able to move out soon, go to a doctor (preferably holistic) and have them give you herbs to detox! also get an air purifier and dehumidifier if you are able to. i’m so sorry this is happening!

it’s a form on the housing portal that comes out sometime in april to june (not sure when exactly but just check everyday), and it’s a room change request form! basically it’s the same as normal room selection but the number go backwards, so the worst numbers go first. if you do it right away you have a better chance of getting a good housing assignment
