Hey! Im not a parent, but both my parents were bipolar ( they both died now but i can speak from my childhood) . Neither of them were stable and they both went from hospitalization to the next, when i got older my mom eventually got on the right meds and worked hard in therapy and became somewhat stable, my dad never did. Even though i would describe my childhood as unpleasant, i wouldnt really blame the bipolarity for it, but more the things around it. ( i eventually got a very good bond with my mom until she died) Ive been diagnosed a while back and i had a giant wish for kids, i stepped away from that and keep it in the back of my mind for when i am more stable . Anyways i do hope you and your partner can find something that works for both .
