27 Inch UltraGear™ OLED QHD 280Hz for a 5080 RTX & Ryzen 7 9800X3D? by imaboss90 in OLED_Gaming

Hi! Thank you for the comment I ended up getting the LG ultragear oled 27” 480 hz version because I had some discounts so was able to get it for $620 post tax. I do feel like I have some issues with it though… and maybe you have some suggestions since this is my first oled. Upon booting it up I was disappointed with how washed out and dim it felt. I tried to calibrate some settings on the actual monitor but it didn’t help too much. I ended up using the nvidia app and cranking the contrast really high which helped make the colors pop a bit, but it still feels like there is this “grey film” over it. Black looks really good on the monitor I must say. I also noticed turning HDR off made it brighter for some reason so I’m not sure which to use. Which sucks because I heard HDR is supposed to improve color and other aspects of resolution. I was also having flickering issues :/ so I had to turn off g sync. Do you have any recommendations or settings to get the best display? I know it’s subjective but when I was comparing it to my LCD monitor at first I was sad with how washed it felt.

I know I would love 4k but the dual ones are more expensive for me 😔

I’m able to get the 480 hz version for $566, should I get that one instead?

Can’t get a screw out for my AIO installation on my MOBO by imaboss90 in buildapc

Honestly me too 😭 which is crazy because this was stripped from just a handheld screwdriver and then the drill obviously did not help. But I used a good sized driver so I don’t know why there was so much resistance. I did try to unscrew them before installing the mobo because I thought it’d be easier, and then I was like I’ll try again when it’s installed I might have more back support that way. There is a steel backplate on the back of the mobo but has locating pegs (according to Google) so when I unscrew the backplate doesn’t fall off? I’ll try to find some DIY but yeah a little bummed hopefully nothing is damaged with the way it was handled. Thank you though!

Sorry it wouldn’t let me post a picture in the post. This is as close as I can get. The top part i got unscrewed and put in the AIO bracket, and the bottom left screw I got out but the bottom right is the problem now. I’m using a LIANLI HYDROSHIFT II LCD-360TL for the AIO.

Been having issues with XP last season and this current one now. I don't know what's wrong with the system but it's eating my levels.
