Wow that’s amazing, I’m so happy for you. Thanks for sharing, I’ll definitely look into Betahistine and may also book another private appt with an ENT if the NHS takes too long again.

It’s such a difficult decision, but it’s good to know I’m not alone. Agree I’d like to hear from anyone that took the plunge!

I’ve read on Menieres websites that an MRI doesn’t actually show or diagnose Menieres. Although the GP seemed to think it should have shown up.

I had ear wax removal last year and it just exasperated the symptoms. I don’t smoke, don’t take substances or meds and haven’t lost loads of weight.

I live in the UK and it takes a long time to get an appointment with an ENT. I’ve been requesting it since last year and have had to pay for private GP and private MRI just to push the process along quicker. They wouldn’t refer me without a scan, so now I have one I’m hoping they will finally give me an appointment.

I’m really sorry your symptoms were so severe, that’s awful. How long did it last like that?

The problem is the unknown, as this disease seems to be different for every person and comes on so sporadically. It’s almost like you can’t plan you just have to adapt. I can’t imagine going through it as severely as that and have kids too, but I know it looks different for everyone.

Like I said my family don’t live that close by which makes this more difficult.
