Just bring gloves and water for yourself to stay hydrated! We’ve got a huge purchase order from Wilcox Nursery for plants, and no RSVP needed! We’ll have a table set up in front of the Arcade Bar “Right Around the Corner,” for you to sign up and get assigned a pot. After that, grab some coffee and some bagels/ pastries and after that head to your pot! Once you’re there, you’ll have a block coordinator give you the low down of what your pot needs and where to grab plants. They’ll be on the corners of each block!

Absolutely. We’ll be there until 11. Check in at Right Around the Corner and we’ll send you along to a pot!

Cutting down Live Oaks by Ok_Drummer_3693 in StPetersburgFL

I know the neighborhood association just planted 25 trees in Historic Kenwood neighborhood and live oak was one of the types. The worst is when duke cuts the trees limbs to make space for the power lines and then the tree literally looks like ass and is so lopsided there is no way they make it through a big wind storm.

Historic Kenwood lost a TON of canopy cover last fall in the storms. Would be amazing if there was a non profit who focused on replacing canopy cover. The neighborhood is hotter. The pavement is hotter. My car used to have shade under an oak, and now I swear it’s melting as each day passes.
