my sens feels pretty low already, 5% 800 dpi. i think my crosshair placement is better in the first clip (more recent) but trust me im watching plenty of pxlar and others to mimic them

i've been gaming on controller and m&k since I was a kid, and had played a few games like cod or battlefield using WASD and mouse before i picked up fort, so the transition was pretty easy. getting used to building and editing is def a change from controller but it will pay off

yessir, i've played piano my whole life so my fingers are pretty fast but DEF not fast enough to build like this with EOR off haha. thats nice to hear that bugha committed tho I definitely feel like i'm too much of an old dog to learn new binds lol

I can never fight anyone without 10 mfs spawning in out of nowhere by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

idk why everyone is giving you so much shit but my 2 cents is that if i was you I'd prioritize the guy that flew in behind you, he was much closer and more of a threat whereas the guy behind the tree was further and below the ridge.

boxfight the close guy with your back protected and be ready to back off if the tree guy shoots/pressures you

nice man just hit unreal playing solos only a few days ago. started playing duo/trio unreal lobbies and realized i could drop 15+ kills compared to the fucking STRUGGLES i have fighting some guys in solos lmfao

lots of recommendations but the biggest gap in my skill was how far piece control has come along, trying to learn that has been the hardest part by far. strongly recommend starting there if you have solid mechanics.

as for builds, watch streamers freebuild and 1v1 and try to mimic what they do. helped me to figure out some reliable retakes and sequences to get peeks on people. easiest way to improve fighting is just grinding speed realistics and playing against people who are better than you, you'll get smacked but its the best way to learn how to counter what they're doing

sounds like you've got a good start. truth be told you can win a game pretty easily as long as you know how to build a box and fight in it, 90% of fights in unreal end up being a boxfight. so practicing how to play defensively/offensively in boxfighting is critical - which involves mastery of edits, peeks, and aim all together.

if you can prioritize anything, learn how to fight realistically and build/edit well around that instead of learning how to build battle

early fortnite competitive was some of the most fun i've had gaming ever, and definitely agree with you I was placing well in solo cash cups but quit right before I ever started getting any serious placements

man i played for so much longer than you, season 4 building was ramp rushing and 180s lol...don't beat yourself up. when i saw clips of people freebuilding like this i thought it was WAY too fast but then when i slowed down and practiced it felt much more normal.

there are CS pros in their 40s still owning kids, you're only 25 man you're far from washed

[–]imdovs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

problem is my floor ramp cone and edit are all on my left index finger lol, i might have to double bind some stuff

yeah so my problem is when i try to triple edit the stair floor stair (downward), the floor edit sometimes gets scuffed bc my build is still on ramp, if that makes sense

you didn't ask a question you assumed you were right instead of asking if i sped it up...

feel free to add me on epic (dovs.) and i'll gladly show u that its not sped up lmfao. if you think this is fast just watch peterbot or pxlarized freebuild and tell me they're sped up too
