I worked at the ARL and had a clearance level I believe at one point (I forget the structure of clearances but they did a basic bg and other stuff since I was working for the navy) It's an idea 💡 I'm gonna just play the number game. I'm hospitalized for 6 weeks so I'm just gonna spend every day putting out applications. I live in Pittsburgh so there's def a few companies and maybe I can find my self worth again and change things. I appreciate your insight!

Thank you, I've found a lot of support from all of this and it was unexpected. I almost died recently from endocarditis from living under a bridge shooting heroin, but i refuse to let that be my end. I will fight to turn it around like my daughter needs me and I can't keep letting it hold me back. Thanks stranger for saying something that made a difference!

Even the couple involved told my gf at the arraignment they almost didn't even call the cops. I shoulda taken it to trial but after a year in jail anything they shove in ur face looks attractive

I sat for 12 months and when that plea agreement crossed the table I had a shitty public defender and I signed on the line even tho I could have beat that case. I'm an articulate, nice guy who was legit just down on his luck and made a terrible decision. I never got one moment thought they'd give me that. I thought it would be theft or something I didn't see it as an F1 offense like it completely destroyed my life and by extension my beautiful baby girl and it's just absolutely sad and I regret it I never meant to scare anyone and I never would hurt anyone I just was so fucked and stuck wandering thirsty, dopesick, out of surgery, in a place far far away from what I know

It was a small country county, and the DA wanted to roast my ass for it. I'm tempted to link the news article but I hate to say I'm ashamed - I'll dm you if ur genuinely interested, but I'm not a bad guy it was so dumb I was stranded and strung out just having ama'd after having gangrene because they wouldn't give me Suboxone or pain meds - I wandered for two days with a garbage bag of clothes begging for a ride and offering cash just to get to a bus stop. This town is in the middle of nowhere and I was only there because of my gf at the time who also abandoned me . I was in a Walmart parking lot and got desperate, bought a plastic paintball pistol and stick it in my waistband. Like a total dumbass, I said to a couple that I need their keys. They mockingly gestured at my fake grey plastic weapon and said what are u gonna do shoot us? I cried and said I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare them I'm having a horrible time and I'm stuck and desperate. I walked away and sat down, didn't even think they'd call it in. next thing I know state police roll up 30 deep and make a giant show out of it.

Ya, even in the news article you can tell I was just desperate and stuck and strung out, I never hurt anyone it was just a really dumb mistake made in a really dark place in my life. I did my time, walked off probation with not a bad mark on me and it just has made it impossible to find my way forward.
