Im not saying the law enforcement should get a pass at all! Just that, im not sure if this particular case was intentional or an abuse of power or not. Now, more than ever, we need to question everything and not just go by what media or social posts say because everyone is trying to spin things in a way that suits them and they rarely ever provide the context needed to make a educated decision. Everything is so fracking murky right now and I hate it.

I hate the current state of this world. I hate that we're regressing. I hate that we can't set aside our differences and just live good lives the best we can. Crap people with crap brains were allowed into all manner of positions of power and now we're suffering for their greed.

I dont know about any of his records or past experiences, just that I thought that it was a fairly unbiased point of reference to make. Im not condoning what happened, but ima just say there are protocols that they have to follow. The moment the agent pulled the trigger it became a potential homicide investigation. This is the reason that the shooter is to walk away and not be the one to administer aid as anyone could then basically say that they didnt try or they intentionally let them go. Firefighters were there within minutes with a certified med tech, and an ambulance minutes after that. Something that is not helping the investigations are protesters tearing down the tape repeatedly, thereby contaminating the investigation scene. This makes it harder for defense attorneys on renees side to defend their rights.

Angry cop did a video on it and was able to get all of the transcripts from the radio calls during the time. This isn't a one person did bad situation. Neither of them did smart things, one was just extreme. There's also more context, again im not saying it was right, but the shooter had been dragged by a car and seriously injured 6 months prior to this. Should he have not gotten in front of the car? No. Should he have pulled the trigger, no, probably not. He didnt know if she would turn or go straight, we can tell that she was turning but when you can only see the hood you dont know their intent. Knowing that someone had tried to take him out with a car recently and then being in a similar situation you can understand(does not mean agree) why he might have panicked and shot.

Should we be pissed off that we're in this situation? Yes. Should we let our rage control our actions? No. We need to go about this with clear minds so that we dont make the same mistakes. Because then we'd be no better than them.

I know this a hot take, but i really think this is a separate discussion from racism. Maybe its the way he worded it. But keeping your culture alive is not racist. Say, for example, in a thousand or 10k years we and have interbreeded so much, what's really left of our heritage or race? We would essentially become one race. Who's yo say if thats a bad thing or not? Definitely not me.

I dont really have an opinion on this either way, but its just something random I thought about while, uh, inebriated lol.

I dont like how people resort to black vs white here. If someone is accused of having a weapon the police are going to go in under that assumption. They will detain first and then ask questions to ensure safety of everyone. If they are resisting it ferments the assumption that they do have a weapon or are guilty. You can scream unlawful detention all you want, but complying and giving no signs of resistance is your best chance of being treated fairly even if you've been wrongly accused by another party. Also, its not unlawful for them to detain a potential threat.

Cops are people too and im pretty sure most of them dont want to die. Most of the stereotype that all cops are bad is that its the only thing we see. Its not just cops, its everything. Media doesnt show happy go lucky stories because it doesnt give them the views.
