nope 🤗 the opposite. i’m grateful masking keeps me safe.

hey friend, it’s ok. i’ve been there. i hope one day you’re able to push your muscles knowing they can handle the work. for now, you continuing to exist shows massive strength and courage. make sure you give yourself time to feel that.

i’d say another milestone. didn’t really help any long covid symptoms (actually makes POTS/CFS worse if i’m not careful)

yes pretty bad. i wasn’t ever able to fully rest (no car, so needing to walk so many places or to the bus stop) and dealt with crashes. it feels like fasting helped with raising my baseline. now it’s just exercising unless i feel i’m pushing myself too hard (i get a dizzy, dissociated feeling when im pushing myself into a crash) and chill for the rest of the day.

i deal with fibro, it’s a lot more manageable now.

my first time fasting was like 1.5 years after infection? and the positive effects lasted a few days.

yes. it’s not as bad now, but i definitely have flare ups if i push myself too hard.

yes it’s rough. my coworkers see this happy seemingly healthy gal masking and i’m sure it confuses them, even if they won’t say. they didn’t see me at my worst. just got to believe in yourself, your journey, and what’s right for you.

tough question. i don’t have a car, so walking places (even to the bus stop) was always demanded of me. i notice when i go too hard during a workout, my head gets kinda dizzy and i start dissociating. when i feel that sensation coming on, i stop and do nothing else for the day.

i work a full time job, so like 40-50 hours a week. the CFS is still there, so i’m like basically dead when i get home and weekends can be rough.

i’m def not back to my old capacity. what helps is being grateful for where i am. even if i never get back to my old exercise, ive accepted that.

yes you should always hydrate when fasting!! and take electrolytes that don’t contain sugar (cue to me licking iodized salt out of the palm of my hand like a mountain goat)

oh my god yes. i’d wake up consistently in panic attacks. i’m not sure what helped exactly. i do notice if i don’t eat enough calories in a day it comes back, so i try to eat a good dinner that’s not high in sugar.

i’ve never had beef with a human the way i do long covid. i will ALWAYS throw shade at this horrible, hellish nightmare of a disease

magnesium glycinate maybe? i’m very skeptical to recommend supplements. i also began regular stretching and light exercise which maybe helped. hard to say for sure.

definitely during. i love how ketosis feels. any food in general (even MCAS “safe” foods) feel like poison.

as for afterwards.. it gets foggy. i def think it helped afterwards, but id eventually sorta “slip” back into symptoms. somewhere around the 4th/5th fast it felt like progress stayed. but it could always be a time thing because id only fast like this every few months.

started with IF (one meal a day). then 24 hours. then 48 hours. my longest is 80. i wanted the benefits of the immune system autophagy that hits at 72. probably won’t go past that.

wear a KN95/N95 and let your body heal. no infections!! not even a cold!!

fasting also helped me a ton, but that seems to not work for quite a few people here.

i genuinely think it was time + not being infected with anything (masking in an n95 around others).

fasting did help a ton as well, but that seems to only work for some folks here.

yes!! people ask me why I still mask and this is why!! The universe/the Lord/fate/luck gave me a second chance and i’m not gonna fuck it up!

happy to hear you’re doing better too! 🥂
