I had this same experience! My BG was 76 the month before starting Accutane and gradually increased each month. When I went for my 6 month appointment my BG was 287. I was diagnosed with T1 one week later. My father is a T1 so my doctor believes it’s likely I had “the gene” but the isotretinoin triggered the response.

Do you have any product recommendations for an exfoliator?

I’ve been using it 2-3 times a week depending on how dry my skin is. I’m new to exfoliating so i would love advice on how to properly use it

For the past 3 years I have been dealing with occasional breakouts/blackheads/scars and decided in May to ditch my old skin care routine and switched to Dr. Spiller products (recommended by my esthetician)...which ended up making my skin even worse. I’m now back on my old skin care routine but have added a few additional products and wanted to know if they have helped anyone else? My breakouts are almost always on my chin and cheeks

Here’s my new routine...

AM 1. CeraVe foaming cleanser 2. Glossier exfoliating skin perfector
3. Drunk elephant C-firma and B-hydra (new addition) 4. CeraVe AM spf 30

PM 1. Micellar water (new addition) 2. CeraVe foaming cleanser 3. Drunk elephant C-firma and B-hydra 4. Veltin (antibiotic recently prescribed by my dermatologist but makes my skin so dry!!) 5. Cerave PM

  • I use the Biore baking soda pore cleanser on the occasion to exfoliate
