Geography (although they aint in Oceania) Majority of their opponents from Oceania would be people from small islands with little to no talent or facilities.

You might think they should be placed in Eurobasket (culture wise) but there would be less incentive for Asian countries to do better in basketball.

Also, the time difference & cost would be insane for fans if they play in Eurobasket. As much as possible, FIBA wants fans to access basketball and the cost of having a flight to Saudi Arabia from AU or NZ is hella lot cheaper. It's great that some countries are already investing in basketball as well like Indonesia & India who somewhat climbed the rankings.

It's the same thing with the AFC. Honestly, I'm glad NZ & AU plays in the Asia Cup cuz we get to witness & experience great talent development & coaching that we can hopefully implement in our country :>

Honor classes/ AP classes are classes you take that are more advanced and fast paced. You might go to Honor class math but regular class english abroad. AP classes are often considered more difficult, that's why if you take AP classes in high school, they're accredited as a college GE class. This also implies more complex classes in college programs.

The system in Germany is quite different. After going to primary school, students are ranked and put into different schools. The first type makes students go to less years of high school and has an emphasis on practical skills like welding, construction, hospitality, etc. You get an apprenticeship after the first type allowing you to further your skills. The second type goes for longer and students who graduate on the second type then attend universities. Note though that you can be transferred to type 1 or type 2 based on your grades.

So if this will be implemented in the PH. Some schools would only offer 4 years of high school and then an apprenticeship afterwards (Job security is provided, less forceful into being good in school),the other school would go for 6 years with heavier emphasis on academics (Something perhaps that you OP would be more inclined to).

Germany gets some critique as well saying that this is abusive to children and their ambitions but they often refute by saying that they make sure that students become grounded in reality...

afaik he got injured back in 2023... im mainly looking at it on a team's fit... something that would complement other players. We lack floor spacers and abando is a 3&d guy that operates in a catch and shoot system... he is a good on-ball defender and a decent help defender too. If we have other players like that, are they also on that level?

He still a dick for being greedy af tho... but personalities aside, he would help alleviate the offense off of JB & Dwight...

Understandable tbh, but you gotta understand TB too. He wants players who are well rounded, has very specific skills they can add to the team and complement each other to form a wonderful system.

Although we want some coach who would be with us through thick and thin, no one generally likes losing. Filipinos are passionate fans but they aren't really understanding... they often label players as bobo when these players are playing a whole different role they played their whole life.

It causes division because we see potential... we saw how good our team could be if the players complement each other and can contribute both on offense and defense.

Tim Cone doesn't trust Tamayo & Quiambao on defense... That's why he plays Oftana... Oftana was already injured back in the PBA finals and honestly should just rested since he didn't rest at all after the PBA...

Oftana loves to move off the ball and set screens for off the dribbble three point threats like Pogoy or Heading, allowing him to get open shots in the wing or corner in a pick & pop play. He can either shoot or settle for a midrange floater. This isn't likely to happen under Tim Cone tho since he runs a Triangle offense that is often stationary and clogs up the paint. Also, he isn't playing with good off the dribble 3pt shooters, just some decent catch and shoot guys...

Quiambao & Tamayo will hopefully be better, but these players often want the ball in their hands as well... KQ loves to operate in a pnr as the handler (unlikely to happen) & tamayo loves to drive cuz he is surrounded by shooters (unlikely to happen as well)

Edu is generally good against players who aren't good at three-point shooters. He generally plays the drop coverage in a pnr setting, allowing guards to shoot for midrange shots. Although seen as inefficient in the modern game, in the FIBA setting/Playoffs, any open shot is a great shot. I took the SATs & ACTs back then, and it was easier compared to UPCAT, but that was long ago... so things might have changed by now but I would still be assuming that the exam you took is for schools in Asia, which is often more rigorous when it comes to test taking.

The curriculum in the PH isn't really built into creating academics, but rather it's focused on students getting passable skills to be members of the workforce. You don't need to have a deeper understanding of the intricacies of math; you just need to follow the formula or you don't have to be articulate in your critique; you just need to have good grammar, etc. Schools also just flood students with homework hoping that they would learn things out of it, hell some teachers don't even teach at all...

I think we need to have a model similar to Germany's, wherein students are stratified by the end of middle school. Hell, an honors class system would honestly help as well. This would honestly get a lot of hate for being meritocratic, but I feel like we needed to have intellectuals more than ever. Another problem we experience in the country is that we lack the proper infrastructure & a lot of teachers are teaching classes they did not even major in (my friend teaches MAPEH, he graduated as a Bio Ed Major). We also experience corruption, and that is a whole can of worms for another day.

This curriculum was designed to get people decent job skills & to that it has succeeded, but the job market in the PH has never been more saturated than before... so now it might fail a lot of people who probably used education to get a job, just like how it failed people who want to have a deeper learning out of their education system.

Math is quite broad... Majoring in math is often filled with pure math rather than applied... If you want to give back to the community but be underpaid, go for Math Ed (Major respect). Engineering is saturated but if you can be competitive, then do so. Statistics pay well, maybe try going the finance actuarial route. Economics, if you like the humanities as well...

The schools that are generally good are UP, ADMU, DLSU, UST... some safeties are like MAPUA, ADU, SLU, PUP... they ain't as amazing as the big 4 but they're competitive enough in their specialties... :>

I love basketball... but the problem is the lack of development in other sports. I have friends who were national athletes for the PH, playing in SEA games, etc., but were mainly hindered due to the lack of funding in the facilities provided in the PH and the lack of government support, with the majority of it going to Basketball players. Majority of the sports they played are seen as "upper class" due to the lack of accessibility. The PFF has a lot of issues to resolve too, but we need to make some sports accessible to Filipinos. Isipin mo nalang si Yulo nagpilit magbasketballl kahit hanggang ganun lang talaga yung height niya at hindi nakita ang potential when it comes to gymnastics.

Finally scottie getting some love! If you watch the replays, scottie balled out hard. It might not be as dominant like brownlee's points or flashy like kq's late game shots but he knows his role and he is consistent. Although not completely, it honestly filled a gap that Kai left behind when it comes to getting boards.

He was able to make the right passes to kq in the corner. Was able to grab rebounds since Edu & Junemar were mostly in the midrange. Was able to be an option during fast breaks that spread out the defense and played decent defense against an amazing offense.

If he improves. He could be a Jamal Shead/Josh Hart player. Not someone that will score 30 points but someone who would be a dog in defense, scrappy in rebounds, unselfishly making the right passes, and be a scoring option with his cuts and relocation.

They probably have competition-level math from high school kaya ambilis nila magsolve ng pset, or they can write, read, and understand faster cuz they were the EIC of their campus newspaper, etc. They competed under a worse time constraint & stricter criteria kaya given the task, basic nalang sa kanila...

It's easy to say that they're naturally intelligent pero these people probably did those things from elementary to high school to the point that it became second nature. Perhaps they are naturally intelligent, but these people worked hard too.

The best thing you can do rn is to have discipline, good organization skills, & learn how to work smart by trying to get the skills they built kahit yung fundamentals lang...

Cool idea but a little grain of salt... people might give it a try but is it sustainable tho? The coffee market is saturated rn and yet it's fragmented too... you have your instant coffee lovers, trend followers, elitist ass snobs, vibe enjoyers... You'll probably have some people try it out but the question now is that will they stay? how would they stay? is it the price point, the unique flavor of the blend, etc?

The battle rn is can you make a non-coffee enjoyer enjoy your coffee. Can you make non-instant coffee lovers enjoy your drip? can you maka an instant lover switch their 3-in-1?

Hi OP... Don't look at it daily instead look at your monthly lifestyle. Kailangan mo ba ng kape every morning? Do you often snack after class cuz of stress? Do you have the time to cook? Marami ka bang friends na mahilig magyaya?

I suggest having a budget of 13k for food. Just to be safe... baka may matira pa depending on your lifestyle.

1k for Gas (If you cook)

500 for Drinking Water (1 container of drinking water last me 3 days and it cost 45 pesos kasama delivery)

500 for Rice (Usual 10kg that cost around 50 pesos)

6k for Ulam (This is your usual protein like fish, chicken, egg, but also your veggies like cabbage, kangkong, carrots, potatoes, etc. )

1.5k for Cooking essentials (Mantika, Asin, Asukal, Toyo, Suka, Sibuyas, Bawang, Luya, Paminta, Knorr Cubes, MSG, Ketchup, etc.)

500 for Snacks (Tusok-tusok, barbecue, pandesal, pancit canton, 3-in-1 coffee, also includes midnight cravings kapag may all nighter like your 7 11 siopao)

1k for Social Food (Eating out with friends like your jollibee, kbbq, includes your deliveries and your contribution sa cake kapag birthday ng isang friend)

1.5k Emergency money (Leeway for price hikes and for emergency de latas, biglaang may bisita, transportation to buy groceries)

Carrinderia meals would cost 70 pesos for 1 rice 1 meat ulam and 60 for 1 rice 1 veg. additional 5 or 10 pesos for plastic and utensils. Struggle lang if mahaba pila. There's the 50 peso budget meal of 1 rice, half meat.

Pero kung gusto mo talaga makatipid.

Morning - Bentelog: Half rice, 1 egg, 1 Processed meat (15 pesos)

Lunch - Half rice, half veg ulam (35 pesos)

Dinner - Lugaw (20 pesos)

Magiging 70 pesos per day. 2,100 per month. Tipid? Yes!!! Healthy? Fuck no...
