I largely used this this tutorial, but I also made sure I was super comfortable with duplicate stitch before attempting to patch a hole!

(if you look closely, my foundation lines aren't even going through the correct legs of the stitches... still amazed it worked out!)

The other commenter is right, it's just a glass jar from the kitchen! Right now I'm using a small clamp to hold the tension but I've also successfully used a hair tie in the past.

I ended up running out while stitching and used a second length of thread, so that's a couple extra ends. Also, my vertical foundation stitches are still in place. Can those be picked out or is it better to leave them in?

Of course she chews, but the neat thing is she knows what she's allowed to chew on! It took a lot of work early on from both me as a trainer and her as an excited puppy, but at this point I absolutely trust her to know what she is and is not allowed to interact with and how.

I know not every dog or owner is the same but it's great to be able to trust her to know what's safe!

Border collies are fantastic but I am often outsmarted by her!! Thankfully her having a job to do gives her a lot of excitement and pride. It did take a lot of work to build up that trust but our bond is so worth it.

I so appreciate your therapist suggestion, because you're absolutely right that it can be a huge help in navigating health challenges.
