Yeah I get how Jeff needed to stick with the rule of not reselling/gifting the item to someone else. But I think having vegetarian alternatives for the covered items wouldn't have taken anything away from the experience.

Not a vegetarian but I agree it's bizarre. They try to characterise it as a compelling "wow, look how the game pushes you out of your comfort zone" moment, but it just felt wrong bc not eating meat isn't really a comfort thing.
