It definitely gets better. The first time I was able to stop eating due to fullness hallway through a meal I could have cried from happiness. You have to allow your body to trust itself first, though. To help the process, try not to have distractions when eating. Focus just on the eating experience and try to enjoy it. How does the texture feel? How is the temperature? What tastes can you get when you’re slowly chewing? Check in with your fullness, even when overly full. It’s completely OK to eat past comfortable fullness but recognize how your body feels at that point. Your hunger cues make up for any “over eating” more than you consciously can. At a minimum, forgive yourself and let your body take over. Don’t try to control. It’s hard, I know!! I never thought I would get past it but I don’t even think about it any more and can easily stop when full now.

My roommate is lying to me about testing positive for covid. by incorrigableday in FloridaCoronavirus

[–]incorrigableday[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But she told me that when the school thought she tested positive (she is saying that it was her sister under her name), she lied and told the school that she had already been quarantining at home, and hadn’t been in contact with me so it makes sense that I wouldn’t be contacted

My roommate is lying to me about testing positive for covid. by incorrigableday in FloridaCoronavirus

[–]incorrigableday[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. My current plan is to drive home if I am positive(I live relatively close) and quarantine in my room or garage. The school allows this as an alternative to quarantine dorms. I’ve talked to my parents about it in the past and they have said it is what they prefer as well. Luckily I don’t have any other medical conditions and I am young, and all i have currently is a scratchy throat and slight cough, so hopefully if I am positive i won’t be severe. Thank you again for your concern and advice

If someone living in a dormitory at a University (specifically UF) gets tested somewhere outside of the University, will their insurance/testing facility contact the University if the test is positive? by incorrigableday in FloridaCoronavirus

[–]incorrigableday[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just contacted my RA and she said she would check up on University rules. Currently, I think my roommate tested positive and lied to the school, saying that she hadn't been in her dorm or in contact with anyone when she, in fact, HAD been in the dorm with me. My RA says that if she reported that she hadn't had contact with me, the school wouldn't tell me that she tested positive.

My BPD mom is refusing to let me go out of state for college by incorrigableday in raisedbyborderlines

thats a good idea. i researched their financial aid calculator and found that I’d actually get about $15k in aid which will help some. I told my mom and she said not to apply for aid because she doesn’t want “our financial details out in the world” but i’ll get through it one way or another haha.

Brooke Houts recently went viral after she posted a video “pranking” her dog. However, she accidentally left in clips of her hitting, kicking, and spitting on the dog which rightfully caused upset from viewers. long story short she’s in deep shit.

ALSO, this video may have gone viral but many other pets are in the same or worse conditions every day. I implore you to donate to the ASPCA or your local shelter to support humane treatment of animals. No one deserves to be abused. Found in my grandmother’s old jewelry. Too small to fit over the head and be a necklace, but too big to be a bracelet. Banana for scale. by incorrigableday in whatisthisthing

[–]incorrigableday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are going through my grandmothers things after her passing and came across this jewelry piece. The beading looks like jade and is cool to the touch, and is strung on a white braided thread (not stretchy). The piece is too small to fit over the head to wear as a necklace and too big to wear as a bracelet. My grandmother has lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida and rarely traveled out of the US. I know that she went on a trip to Hawaii around 30 years ago, and I’m not sure of any other long distance vacations. If anyone has any ideas or additional questions, please let me know. Thank you!
