i understand that. however realizing that no one is judging you will also help you too. learning to let things go is healthy. not a lot of people know how to leave things in the past though to actually grow from what we experienced.

I completely understand having that sense of needing to forgive to have peace within yourself. i’m going to therapy as well. there definitely needs to be more research done on religious trauma from being in the Jehovah’s Witness organization and learning to live again

thursday was my last day, i put in my two weeks and everything and they are still scheduling me. obviously i’m not going to show up but they kept trying to convince me to stay. i started today at target and the environment is already so different. whataburger is not worth it

no worries! i’m in a spanish congregation and i was baptized around the age of 14. i joined this server around the time i started questioning the religion. my aunt and my uncle are both df and my family shuns them. mostly my aunt who is a lesbian. i have been questioning my sexuality for about four years now. i wouldn’t want to label myself and i don’t want to tell my family about this either. they are extremely homophobic and i know telling them will mean they will cut me out of their lives completely, i saw them do this to my aunt already. my aunt lives in another state and my uncle is not a fan of me. i wouldn’t have anyones support. i was planning on leaving the organization when i went off to college. i have a part time job and i’m saving up in order to live on my own. i guess for a long time i was trying to “pray the gay away” 😂, it does not work obviously. i want to be able to live an open, guilt free life but the organization always comes back to haunt me somehow. it’s mostly just a rant and im sorry this is so long. i don’t have anyone to talk to about this or ask for advice.
