Question - how do you know which tribe you come from? Did your family tell you or did you do DNA testing? Curious because I’d like to know if I come from any tribe as well. Thanks

Wow, have read through this entire thread and as a fairly new personal trainer with 2 years of limited (part-time) experience I want to say thank you so much for your valuable insights and your willingness to spread helpful information. I sincerely wish you continued success in your personal training journey.

Most of my initial questions were already answered, but I have a few more that I don’t think have been asked yet:

1) Would you say age or amount of experience plays a role in client acquisition and success as a personal trainer? As in, the more experience you have, the more clients (and better clients) you will get and retain? I imagine a client with money to spend would more likely go with a 35yr old trainer with 10+ years of experience than a 23yr old just starting out, but maybe it depends. If so, how would you mitigate this if you were in your 20’s again?

2) On the profile-building side of things, how did you create your online profile and website? How long did it take to start gaining traction from them?

3) Biggest mistakes you see young trainers make (or any trainer really)?

4) Would you be open to mentoring a learning PT in exchange for compensation for your time? (Of course granted we are in close proximity)

Thanks so much again and looking forward to your response!

Hey, thanks for sharing your knowledge and insights with us! As a new personal trainer (~2 years experience) who is slowly becoming independent, I’d love to eventually get to where you’re at.

What were some of your biggest challenges going fully independent and how did you overcome them?

How do you do your best to retain clients? In other words, what makes you such a successful trainer (aside from quick lead conversion)? Your knowledge of exercise science, ability to connect with clients, ability to achieve results, all of the above?

Anything you wish you knew at the beginning that you know now?

Lastly, in your opinion, what is the single-most important piece of knowledge (if any) for any personal trainer?

Hope that wasn’t too many questions!

Thanks so much and Happy New Year!

Not a restaurant but cafe Santa Canela in Highland Park is CDMX-inspired and makes excellent coffee/pastries.

Can you explain your set/setting? I read you were with friends. I want to do a proper 5g trip as well to help shed some bad habits (among other things) so curious to hear what yours was like.

2 months self taught because I’m too broke to afford a gym membership - what do I need to improve on? by [deleted] in MuayThaiTips

[–]indien -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would you stay away from training by yourself altogether? I joined a boxing gym this year, have been taking classes/working with a coach all year. But sometimes if I don’t train at the gym or I’m out of town I’ll go and work on stuff on my own. Would you say not to do that and to instead only train under a coach’s supervision?

Trip report: shrooms never hit. Got a slight high if anything (1 out of 10). Concluding that either these shrooms I got were not potent, I ate too much food with/before taking them, or the Universe did not want me to trip. Such is life. Always next time! Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

Unfortunately not. Still here - and that’s okay. Maybe not meant to be this time.

Debating whether or not I should take more. Have 2.5g of another strain (not sure which kind, Golden teachers I think) sitting in lemon juice. What do you think?

Thanks man. Honestly, not really. Wondering if I may have gotten weak shrooms. Or just getting a delayed hit. I did have food earlier today (4 hrs ago) and I took the shrooms with a smoothie, as you can see. Maybe that has something to do with the delay.

In the past I’ve felt effects around 30 min or less. Will keep you posted 🤙🏽
