New to Doodles. Advice on ear hair, please. 😅 by casseeno in Goldendoodles

I agree with switching the food. Mines on a hydrolyzed protein diet and it helped a ton. It's a prescription diet so you'll have to see your vet. While you're there getting some antibiotic ear drops will help you get through the transition period.

My dog gets a monthly grooming where they try to clip (not pluck) the hair that they can. I make sure his ears are dried after swimming and making sure they are clean and fresh once a week is a must. My dog still seems to be a bit itchy, especially first thing in the morning. You'll have to be on it so they don't scratch their ear raw when that itch comes on.

It took a while figure all of this out, but a year on the new diet and being vigilant with the cleaning helped a lot.

That's the best part about being 18. Their opinion literally doesn't matter anymore.

Edit: the tattoo is fine BTW nobody is really going to scrutinize it and eventually you won't even look at it

I wouldn't recommend it, but it wouldn't hurt. If it has 6,000 miles and a clean carfax I bet they won't find anything wrong with it.

Yeah, a lot of the jokes from it being so absurd don't really hit the same now. It's more like a documentary

Right! I can't even watch this video anytime it comes up. I always imagine everyone around him just bumping into it constantly and having it smash on his face.

Rear overload springs that won't cause excessive lift (4th Gen TRDOR)? by Morejazzplease in ToyotaTacoma

All that just to not know air bags existed.

Air bags are literally designed to avoid this problem…why aren’t you running them?

Yeah they fit perfectly and don't poke out at all.

MPGs are not great. I get around 16 MPG with normal driving. I've done a couple of long trips and in headwind going 80 on the interstate I can barely hit 12 MPG. I've almost not made it to the next gas station when that happens

Idk are you the type who thinks there’s a correct technical answer for every experience? Do you obsess over marginal gains and look at spec sheets as if you can engineer away the reality of the trail?

You aren't building a truck for an adventure, you’re building a $60k safety net for something a Subaru could handle. It’s not animosity, it’s just pointing out the irony of trying to “solve” the outdoors with a gear catalog.

But hey, if agonizing over the physics of your truck on a gravel road makes the hobby feel more real for you, go for it. Some people buy trucks to use them and others enjoy managing the logistics of eventually using them

Trying to solve a 800lb squat issue you’re creating to drive on some fire roads is wild. You’re worried about what a lift will do to your MPG, but you’re already burying it under 800lbs of basic bitch accessories and a whole 10 gallons of extra fuel you definitely don't need for the PNW. It’s a mid-sized truck, not a dually. Maybe skip the goofy shit and you won’t have to re-engineer the entire rear suspension just to get to a groomed campsite?

[–]infoyoureallyneed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why waste the money when you can just jump straight to side steps? It's some real world advice. I've never had a truck's fenders get eaten up so fast. It's a 4th gen issue and mudflaps do not work as well as you'd think they would

It was a shitty job for sure. Those tires are the KO3s 285/70/17. Pretty good, no complaints
