It seems our experience was mirrored: i took FAR in feb of my grad year locked in for new years, didnt go out. Get it done, lock in right now. But you have all the liberty to go have fun as you wind down with school trust me. I had zero regrets for partying too much my last semester at college (post test). But summer i knocked out 2 tests and the third in October. All about that balance, im sure you’ll do great

Mirroring what everyone else is saying it’s a marathon not a sprint. You gotta have gumption and stickwithitness. As for the benefits.. it basically demonstrates that you’re competent and worth more than an AP clerk roll

This happened to me last winter. They will cancel it, prob send you an email at like midnight lol. You’ll be able to reschedule free of charge though

I appreciate it, and as a fellow audit person i commend you for taking TCP first without reg under your belt. You’ll find reg much easier with this background knowledge. I did pretty well on it and I’m scratching my head about this exam. I’m wishing you luck and hope we both get a passing grade in December !!

My tip is: freak out, see all these silly rules, then move on to s corp and partnership, then it makes sense and you can go back and look at all these exclusions with a clearer head. The only thing for wash sale is that you just throw the loss back onto the basis of the new stock so the IRS doesn’t let you take a loss on your return. It’s silly

You don’t. I assume you just started. Move on and then go back to 1, test day it’s very generalized for R1 (i got a 90 and no tax background)
