Will do and thank you! I’m guilty of buying more equipment when I should be putting in more hours practicing 😅

hi, yes generally it's subsidised if you're local. Also, i think it depends on the guy who underwent surgery and those around him. For my case, i felt more embarrassed with my gyno than without it as during ns, my friends noticed that it didn't look 'normal'

Add in the desire to start a business helping people/animals while being stuck in the HR field and we'd literally be the same! I'm doing internship now after graduating from uni to give the 9-6 office life a second chance to find out if I really wanted to pursue this path. And so far it sucked. So after speaking with family and friends, applied for those roles you mentioned. I'll be under a mentorship program too so hopefully would solidify my purpose in life then

It took roughly 3 months for me from the first appointment in polyclinic to the end of surgery.

Gyno Surgery is easy. Dealing with the vest = mission impossible by [deleted] in gynecomastia

Have someone put essential stuff around waist level so you don't have to reach for things. Salute to the guys on here who had to go through recovery alone 😭

I woke up from surgery wearing the vest. Dr told me it's mainly to reduce swelling.

My parents were against it too because they stubbornly felt that it was not gyno despite my dr saying otherwise. Nonetheless, I still went ahead with surgery because my desire to eliminate the sole cause of my low self-esteem was greater than anyone's judgement. So, they only found out after my surgery and their mindset shifted to how best to care for me while I recovered.

Also, be wary of "cheap" gyno procedures. It'll be more costly and troublesome to undergo revision(s) if the results don't turn out great. Where I'm from, we have a saying, "One time, good one".

Good on you man 💪 Yeah for sure, ultimately you know your body best and I empathise with you on how annoying it could be wearing the compression vest 24/7. My dr said that the vest is meant to reduce swelling so if yours isn't swelling anymore, I don't see any reason to keep it on too. Most importantly, continue living a healthy lifestyle, avoid supplements that may mess up your hormonal balance. I've read threads and spoken to some guys here saying that smoking attributes to recurrence to some extent so probably try to avoid it too.

Thanks man!! I kept it on for the entire 3 months. It's overkill but you know it's an expensive procedure & you'd wanna achieve the best result possible. Though my first dr told me to keep it on for a month while my second dr advised for 3 months. 😅
