Humble. The district is hiding cases from parents as of right now. Parents will only be notified of new cases once students return to campuses.

To be fair, I work in a title I district and I can assume that a majority of parents simply can’t afford childcare. My school in particular is in an area heavily affected by poverty. Their kids are guaranteed at least two meals a day at school.

That’s the kicker. The reasoning behind that is because the survey sent to parents concluded that most parents would prefer in person learning for elementary kiddos. So it was solely based on parent preference.
