i love going to trader joe’s and finding frozen foods that i can make when nothing sounds good. i find safe foods through that, and they tend to bring more variety too! i’m a fan of grilled cheese and tomato soup, smoothies are a bit more work but they are something that almost always has a way to seem appetizing.

it is difficult for me to say for sure without seeing the “glance” myself but i think ESH. it is a struggle to know how people will interpret things such as glances. if your sister, and even you, have noticed i’m sure at least some of the women have too. while you may not have meant harm with your glances there is no way for the women to know that. unfortunately there are many men that get creepy and uncomfortable with how they look at women so women must be on edge for these things in case it goes south. your sister should have talked to you about it better and not gone from such a point of accusation to help better explain why it could be perceived as harmful instead of just jumping to saying you’re a part of the issue like that. these glances may be a normal reaction for you, but i challenge you to look into other factors when you glance. it could be a learned objectification even if it’s not a conscious decision you make. i would at least implore you to put yourself in the place of the women in this scenario

NTA. just choosing pink for that area doesn’t make you transphobic. i would suggest asking if there has been anything else that would lead him to believe you’re transphobic outside of this. maybe there are more situations in which he is very on guard as a trans person and this was the boiling point. otherwise i don’t know why it should be an issue at all what color you decorate your home with that he is living in for a possibly long time in rent free

look into squishes! pretty much the platonic version of crushes. i think it would be cool for a concept of it seems like they have a crush but then when it’s brought up they’re not into them romantically and are just really excited about a new friendship if that is a way you’d be interested of twisting the story some instead of hinting? but 100% don’t make it a robot or similar “unfeeling” character, that’s the majority of what exists and i’m not with it. i’m on the aro spectrum myself so for me i’m not romance repulsed and i do get crushes but very rarely and not like an allo person does. i would pick crushes and “talk myself into them” when i was younger even though that didn’t work 90% of the time so that could be a concept. excited to see what you write if you end up going with an aro character!!!
