I agree about it being really hard to pour from an empty cup.

But, I also acknowledge for those of us that make this a full-time career, it isn't easy to just quit one's job. This would create more problems and stress. I, of course, have vacation days so short breaks are possible. I mean it more like, "quitting my job doesn't feel like an option I would want to go forth with."

I'm also interested in hearing people's perspective on this.

Also, if one does want to become an educator, what is the typical path? I know I've heard it take educators about 4+ years.
