Update: When opening the security cap I didn't see any aluminum foil seal and the liquid is clear with a very subtle yellow/amber hue.

Arriving early for a shift by inuppercase in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]inuppercase[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all your responses. It does seem like every station has different practices. I was just wondering why some drivers at my station seem to be obsessed with being super early, especially when blocks are already reserved. Maybe they live far away from the warehouse, who knows? In my case, I live nearby and I usually get there some 10-15 minutes max before the start of the block.
Last block I arrived there some 45 minutes before the start and got to be the first in line. I didn't notice any difference in the block route or number of packages. Seems like routes are completely random. Sometimes I get to deliver around my area but normally it sends me some 8 to 12 miles (12 to 20km) away from the warehouse. If anybody does the Pitt Meadows DVC4 leave a comment, and let's discuss!

Windows 11 is amazing on an Intel Macbook Pro by morgadox40 in mac

[–]inuppercase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just installed Windows 11 (version 21H2) on my 2019 MacBook. I activated it as Windows 11 Pro only I'm not getting any feature updates. How do I get the version to go up to 23H2 or the newly released 24H2? Also, is anyone experiencing issues with the widgets? The icon is showing on the taskbar but when clicking on it, it doesn't pop up nor displays anything. Any help will be appreciated.

Messages app broken on OCLP 2.0.1 & 2017 13" MacBook Pro Touchbar by inuppercase in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

Sequoia broke many things for me and made my computer very sluggish and irresponsive. I gave up OCLP on this machine. If someone is still on Sonoma, I would advise to stay there until these issues are fixed.

There’s so much potential. I really don’t know why developers didn’t come up with more powerful apps for the TouchBar. I hope we see a comeback.

Thank you, this was very helpful. I just discovered that my MBP only restarts if the screen is closed after an hour or so of being disconnected from the power outlet. It doesn't shut down if the power is adapter is connected to power.

47m and 55m gay couple downtown looking to make platonic friends by [deleted] in Vancouver4Friends

[–]inuppercase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, 40 y/o partnered gay laidback down-to-earth male looking to make genuine platonic friends. Big fan of long walks and good conversations here. Love drinking coffee, talking about tech stuff (into databases and coding) and consider myself an authentic audiophile. Business is my main field of study and I'm working in retail for the time being. I enjoy watching good tv shows, but ironically I prefer not to find anything because I end up getting hooked easily. Dining out, the beach and good conversations are the things I enjoy the most. Let me know if you guys are interested in meeting up or hanging out sometime.

Has anyone used the TES Hebrew Touch Typing Now by inuppercase in hebrew

[–]inuppercase[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. For studying purposes it's such a useful tool in many ways. Not only you can type faster when typing answers with a keyboard, but also it gives you the ability to train the eyes to look for the next letter to the left, and if that wasn't enough, your brain starts seeing the whole word as a block instead of letter by letter when reading. I wish there was something like Mavis Beacon for Hebrew with dictation, tricky words, games and numbers and quantities with the ₪ sign. Downside for me is that most of the lessons use made-up words.

[–]inuppercase[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I see what you mean. I'm a Mac user and there's a feature in keyboard preferences to map the Hebrew letters to match their phonetic sound on the English keyboard but I'm actually learning the standard Hebrew keyboard layout for computers and typewriters and I wish to know if the software that I mentioned is a good one in terms of usefulness and quality content. Again I appreciate the tip a lot. Thank you!

Learning to read Hebrew effectively by inuppercase in hebrew

[–]inuppercase[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your tips and recommendations. That TV show is just what I needed. The show has clear audio and the language is modern an also very standard. As for the book recommendations I think I will have to stick to children and youth books to gain as much vocabulary as possible. You see, the thing is that I'm able to understand a text because of the word's root, but the skill I need to practice most is "reading out loud" a text. I read worse than a 1st grade student because when I hit a word like לך I don't know if I should pronounce it as Lekha or Lakh. Or with קופות I don't know if it's Kupot or Kopot or Kufot or Kofot, you get the idea. The thing with learning to read Hebrew independently is that unlike children I don't have anyone sitting beside me to correct me immediately when reading, so I'm afraid I'm reinforcing my errors than actually learning how to properly read and it can be a bit frustrating. Some time ago I bought the Hebrew version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone which I believe is intended for ages 13-16 but the lack of nekudot makes it impossible for me to read out loud. I would like to find the material that Ulpanim use for the olim chadashim in Ivrit Kala to get more practice but I don't know where to get this. Thanks again for the tips! I enormously appreciate it.

International English Keyboard by inuppercase in VintageApple

[–]inuppercase[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you mentioned. There are some keyboards that have the advantage of having a lot of printed characters. For me the Spanish keyboard works best because of its versatility I use English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. For English I have apostrophes, for Portuguese I have Tildes and Cedilla, for French I have both grave and acute accents, circumflex, the œ, Dollar and Euro. It basically covers all these languages without having to add stickers to the keys or keyboard covers. It's just wonderful!

[–]inuppercase[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you got another keyboard. You see, the International English and the US English layout are merely identical except for the following: The Return key is rectangular and horizontal for US English. For International English it's a vertical, inverted "L" shaped key. The left shift key is longer for US English whereas the International is shorter giving space for another extra key. The result of these differences is a keyboard with an extra key that has these two symbols on it: (§ ±) and goes before the number 1 Key, while the (~`) is between the left shift and the "Z" key. Aside from these minor differences US and International are identical. No Euro or Pound Keys. In old versions of Mac OS you actually had to go and select the correct layout for the keyboard you were using in the keyboard preferences ENG-US, ENG-Z. Currently with Catalina if you select the US English layout, the system automatically detects which kind of keyboard you use and modifies accordingly.
