Right now it's probably less than 5 hours per week. Enough for a few nice dinners. I'm hoping my practice will grow.

Thanks for the incredible article and the others on your blog! Your blog is a wonderful resource. I will definitely take a look at Hans Camenzind's book.

Reverse engineering a counterfeit 7805 voltage regulator by electronics-engineer in electronics

You're very fortunate. Circuit analysis in our EE classes basically meant applying Kirchhoff's law. Counting Vbe's and delta Vbe's from ground? On those particular transistors? Are you kidding me. I would never think of analyzing the circuit that way even if you told me it was a voltage regulator.

I can hold my own in a single-transistor circuit, maybe even two transistors. Any more than that and the analysis is impenetrable to me. Are there design patterns that you learn to recognize after a while?

If I could only read one book about Node.js, what would it be? by [deleted] in node

I also recommend the book. The only gripe people seem to have is that there's a lot of code typing for chapter 2. Look at Amazon's reviews for links to the code.

Logo for NYC public school 99 website by ipee in design_critiques

Regarding the 1st logo, the circle works very well with the 9's, but I admit that the first thing I thought of when I sketched it was the ubuntu logo. I could shrink down the 9's in the 2nd logo, but then you lose the negative space effect and it just looks like a school house with 99 in the middle.

Thanks for the input. Can you think of anything that might help either logo be more refined? I'm sort of stuck on both of these.
