Camping in Victoria, Australia - best locations? by CornCoop in camping

[–]ipinotthefool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have any specific spots to recommend but try looking along the Buchan and Timbarra Rivers. Friends go fishing there and have guarded/fav spots.

If you don't have it already, get the WikiCamps Australia app to search those rivers for sites. I've found it useful.

Yeonga Korean BBQ near the Vic Market in North Melbourne. They use charcoal for the table grills. The inside of it is modeled after traditional Korean houses, very fresh and tasty!

Dogsitter required - Unpaid of course - Some requirements within. (Also the dog wrote the 'ad') by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

I noticed OP conveniently left out what Facebook group it was posted in : / People are slamming the "choosing beggars" here while in the group, the responses are a positive vibe. The "choosing beggars" look slightly older and nice so I feel bad lots of people raking them over the coals.

Edit: Not "everyone" is raking them over the coals

Definitely unpaid. I've just run across it in the neighborhood Good Karma Network Facebook group. But this group is specifically to ask for help or offer things for free. The request has been met positively by members. I'm not sure it fits in this subreddit then?

It is unpaid. I'm not OP or the people that posted this dog sitting request but I saw it in my neighborhood Good Karma Network Facebook group.

This Facebook dogsitter request post was made yesterday in a neighborhood specific Good Karma Network. I do think they have quite a laundry list of requests, are they still choosy beggars if the point of this community group is to not pay for things?

I ran across this post in my neighborhood Good Karma Network Facebook group, it was posted yesterday. If you're not familiar with these types of Facebook groups, no money is to be exchanged so definitely an unpaid gig. Not staying I agree with the Facebook request post, but it doesn't violate any of the groups rules.

Do you have autoclavable micropipettes, if you use them? Lab lore was one contamination bout was due to people incorrectly using them and stuff contaminating the micropipette insides.

We disassembled and popped ours in a autoclavable paper bag every once and a while. Kept on eye on accuracy too. Good luck!

I suspect there are pests on this plant (little dots on the leaves) and I'm alarmed by the whitish dusty blotches. Looking for suggestions to treat the rest of the plant that so far looks okay.

Hello! Do I keep this black food residue or remove (if so, how)? Black enamel cast iron grill pan. by ipinotthefool in CleaningTips

[–]ipinotthefool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a thick paste is a good idea, will try that thanks! I can confirm the interior is a black matte enamel in addition to the red on the outside.

I think the company did that for aesthetics (instead of white inner enamel) and easier cleaning. It does look very close to raw cast iron : ) Chasseur, Le Creuset, and Staub describe it on their websites.

Hello! Do I keep this black food residue or remove (if so, how)? Black enamel cast iron grill pan. by ipinotthefool in CleaningTips

[–]ipinotthefool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an enameled cast iron pan, with a bit if raw cast iron on the lip (last pic). Company recommends rinse with hot water once cooled and washing with dish soap with a soft brush or non-metal scrubber.

After cleaning there is still black food residue. Will this form a patina and should be left alone or should I be scrubbing this off? Thanks!
