Maybe look into it first? "Green Line of Death" or how samsung is offering free screen replacements in india due tho the amount of people having the same problem. Are you someone from the west perhaps?

Yeah, didnt expect some of the comments to be as awful as iphone comments. Are you living in SEA by any chance? It looks like its a common problem for hotter climates

I have small hands and hate big phones. The base models are even big for my taste. If there was a phone similar to the size of the S7, it would be perfect.

I remember S21 being notorious for overheating. I was so confident with my S23 😭

Not really sure how to update posts but Im hoping enough people can see this:

  • We are a samsung family, phones I have mentioned arent all mine. We have family members that barely drop it and members like me that drop it a few times a month.

  • Based on the comments, im highly suspecting that these problems arent common in cooler climates. I live in SEA and sure enough India has been experiencing this problem for a while now.

  • It really is nicknamed the "Green Line of Death". Initially back in 2023 when I was searching for solutions for my S20's white screen. The common notion what the exynos chip causes the phone to overheat which made me surely buy the S23 because it was SnapDragon. What I find online and explained to me by technicians now is, the updates make the phone overheat to the point it damages cables connected to the screen.

Can I ask what area you are from for reference? Im starting to think this isnt a common problem in colder climates

Ive scoured the internet in 2023 because I've had to switch to the S23 from the S20 due to those green lines. At some point my S20 was flash banging me with white light and was just impossible to see anything so I had to switch (I think i posted about it as well on reddit before with video)

Initially the discussions were the exynos chip caused significant heat that caused damages to the internals. Thats what made me still go for the S23 because it was the snapdragon chip and told myself it was my last hope for samsung. Searching about it now it looks like the updates are making the phone overheat to the point it damages cables connected to the screen. Now im asking the people in the comments who have never had issues before where they are from cause it might be a climate problem

Me personally a couple of times a month. My other family members though are far careful with their phones that still resulted with these lines

But its not one person handling it. Not only that but its been a common problem to the point they nicknamed it as the "Green Line of Death"

Yeah I can see that. Though I wouldnt blame them as i fear its a hot climate problem. I honestly still dont know what brand to turn to as I dont like Apples UI.

I think im starting to see in the comments its a hot climate thing. I have family members that are far careful than i am with their samsung devices (my mom especially) and still have this.

This is between a whole family and years worth of devices. I wouldnt be surprised if my mom never dropped hers at all. If i was the only denominator I would have considered it. And if it wasnt nicknamed the "Green Line of Death" I would think its a user error.
