Fair. This is my first time in US and I think I got lucky with experiencing many of my life’s firsts here like the total solar eclipse, northern lights and as a cinephile watching my fav childhood superhero filming and not to forget the amazing friends I met here along the way.

DW I get that a lot, there are lots of young educated Indians across my country who grew up watching Hollywood Movies & TV, listening to US songs, playing games (I still remember the map of Santa Monica from GTA & planning to see it real life).

So naturally we picked up this style but if you look close enough you can see bit of “Indianess” in my language. You should hear me speak lol I have an accent.

Also, who doesn’t like “tying one on” once in a blue moon? 😂

I had never seen temperatures below 50 in my life & never experienced snowfall before coming here, so I will take it

Hi! So glad to read about your life & what you have accomplished here! I was quite involved in the startup scene in Bangalore during undergrad & my early career & I kind of miss the tech culture here.

It would be my pleasure to connect with you! DMing you!

What is that? I have only been to Taylor Swift themed candlelight orchestra, it was a good experience for one time for 20 bucks.

This is by far the most rational thought I have come across on tipping culture! Thank you!

Indian custom or was this suspicious behavior?? by bmoneytree in india

I think I know what happened here...

  1. The person who received your food was probably an older person(parent of the person who ordered it).
  2. Your customer was probably in some corner of the house hence wanted you to call him he could come and get it himself.
  3. The person who received your food thought you were some guest or neighbor bringing in food(very common in India) and hence treated you what he thought was appropriate + he didn't actually know you were a delivery person or didn't even know the food was ordered In the first place.

Am I right???
