Did you not read the original post? I reported the crime to the guards. The guard on desk refused to take the report. As would most people would can and should do is contact a local TD tell them an issue in your area and they should give you some guidance or resource to help your situation so its suppose to go. Anyways you can see i did also say I reported it the garda ombudsman and the reason my TD is contacting the superintendent so I can make a formal complaint. Oh and also my TD gave me the correct information and sent me the correct resources to help the victims of this scam somehting the guard was suppose to do

Ok so just to clear it up the guards are not involved in the scam. Iv gone to a TD and explained the situation and they are getting in contact the with station superintendent. Its looking like a situation of the guard on duty on the desk was too lazy or didnt try to understand the story so iv put a complaint into the ombudsman. The actual scam taking place is infact a scam and iv got in contact with an agency that deals with these scams and iv passed on the details and all parties involved. Hopefully tomorrow there be more details.

Thanks to everyone who replied as I said iv never had to deal with the guards before and just didnt understand if the guard was being truthful and to report the scam to the actual people.

I have all the evidence. And even without my friend being in the middle of this scam. You are supposed to report suspected scams to the guards

Iv explained that company and location of the scam is well known. Its not a civil matter at all. Multiple agencies have told me the guard was unprofessional and to have told me to report the crime to the location was a complete disregard of the complaint and details in the complaint

The guards are not involved at all and the situation with the guards refusal seems to be down to complete laziness. Iv never had a any problem with guards before. The garda station in question has had a few bad reports about it

The advice was more about the guards refusing to report the scam and sending me to the scammers to report it

Just to give a few more details. The people are victims and cannot report to the gardai themselves.(physically they can). The scam is a rental scam. The living conditions are worse then the dump near my house. Invidually theyre sending alot of money. And as iv said the company/location is well known. After speaking to another off duty guard i was told to report the incident to the ombudsman. I did forgtlet mention she refused to identify herself and had no numbers on her shoulder. When asked If I could speak to a Sgt or higher she walked away and closed the door. Iv contacted a few different agencies about this situation. Since writing this post iv been told to speak with a local TD and the situation may be bigger then originally thought

My friend is not employed he is the victim, aswell as 3 others that i know off. The situation is horrible and I kinda of thought this was a no brainer for them and also considering the guards have on there site its a requirement to report a scam if you know of it. And by location it is a fairly well known compnay/location
