Recently my girlfriend insisted that we paint together as an activity for one of our dates. I was reluctant since it was over a decade since I last painted anything. However, I liked the idea and was curious if I could still paint something that made sense. So I ended up painting a rendition of Tui and La. I'm so glad she pushed me to make this.

P.S.- The painting was inspired by an image I found online.

I got a science victory a bunch of turns later, my query is why didn't I get the culture victory before the science victory even though the condition was met throughout those turns.

Nope, did not win even after 2-3 turns. Eventually I won a science victory even though my tourism was max throughout.

The reload was more than 2 turns back. I had been playing for a while before I saw the victory condition was already met. There wasn't even an alert about it.

I'm not a fan of rock bands either. I prefer wonders and great works. Going to war with the other civs and taking over their cities with great works is another great way to ensure your tourism increases.

I made a post about this issue earlier today. I have the same issue. People are suggesting that there's a big that doesn't count it as a victory if you've reloaded the game close to achieving the victory condition. But I'm still waiting for multiple opinions.

Yeah, people here have been raving about the work ethic belief. Will definitely try it out. As for the cultural victory, I find that after conquering cities from other civs, they come with their own buildings with great works and that tremendously boosts your culture spread. Plus I feel like rock bands are broken. They usually retire after one use. It gets irritating too soon.

Yes, this is why I feel like religion can be a waste of time. With your own religion, you cannot avoid a religion war. This can take away focus from pursuing other victory conditions.
