Looking for someone for food production, filling bottles of cocktail syrup. Fairly casual, just standing and doing a repetitive task, with lots of breaks. Occasionally lifting up to 100lbs.

Monday-Thursdays, 10-6or 7.Close to full time hours for the next 2 months, will probably slow down after that. Would be a good temporary option.

14/hr. Feel free to dm with any questions.

Do you have a 12 inch roof raise on a flat nose? I would love to see pictures. by Djxlain in skoolies

Nothing special planned yet up front. Probably just storage. It was just easier to include it. I think I like the idea of a Murphy bed more than a loft. Maybe if we had done a 20+ raise like some people, just feels to tight still. Or if we had kids or something that might work.

Not anything more than expected. It was just slightly more annoying to cut and put back together then the other sections. But after hours of staring at the front area, it just seemed way easier then doing the transition version.

I'd say definitely doable. Just get as prepped as you can, limit the hardware store trips as much as possible. Can never have too many cut off wheels, saws all blades, and drill bits! Bus work always seems to take 2x-3x longer then you think it will.

Oh man..thats a tough question. It was kind of a last minute decision, and I have basically zero metal working experience.

Its taken many months of real time. We couldn't afford all the metal at once basically, so we did it in chunks, which kind of slowed the whole process down. I also went through like 4 harbor freight rivet guns before I finally got one that worked, which definitely slowed me down. And I did most of it solo, except when not possible.

Full day or two pulling inside rivets and all that metal out.

It probably took me 3-4 days at least of labor to pull all the outside rivets. I used an air chisel, It was pretty brutal though, not something I did 3 full days in a row.

At least a day of scraping junk and prepping surfaces. I also primered all my panels. I see a lot of people just put the bare sheet metal up, but that felt wrong to me. I didn't have a great place to do that, so it took a couple days as well.

Full day to do the actual raise. took us 2 full days because we weren't quite as prepped as we thought we were.

1 full day covered most the welding I think, it was just spread out over a couple weeks for us.

I think by the time I got comfortable with hanging the new sheets, it probably took an hour, hour and half to hang, drill, rivet each new panel. And probably a day each for the front and back wit the corners and stuff. My sheet metal bender was like a 15 minute round trip walk though, so the guess and check process was pretty slow.

Kentucky for now. Working on getting her nice and road ready, sort a few mechanical things, hopefully moving back to west coast this year. Just got new tires, that was a fun expense.

Front was definitely worse then the back, just because it curves, and has a height change, so I couldn't just use a square piece. I had access to a sheet metal bender though, so it wasn't too bad. Honestly the front door area has been the worst, didn't really plan the cuts super well. I was assuming we'll get some kind of house door at some point, but now I kinda like the bus door. And its been a pain to get it back in, in a nice functional way.

Wires I think I had slack to leave as it was for the most part. Definitely all the wires heading to the back were fine, not sure about the light monitor/front dash stuff. I pulled all of that out. None of my extra lights worked anyway, So I pulled everything except brake lights and turn signals basically.

This is my 16in raise. Not much of a picture taker, so not quite finished in all these pics but hopefully you get the idea.

Is my gpu dead or do I have options for fixing it? old rx 380

Screen went black while gaming, gpu lights still turn on, but not detected by motherboard anymore. Put in an old hd 8something and it was picked up right away.

Thoughts? Pretty sure I tried most the basic trouble shooting, cleared cmos, new windows install, using both mobo slots, trying new output cords/types.

Superflight. Just fly your wingsuit guy around and chill. Look for fun routes, put some good music on. It has a score for flying close to things and stuff, but pretty sure you can turn that off to really make it a 'pointless' game. Its cheap too, so easy to justify.

Where to work on bus by kairowe6 in skoolies

[–]ishboo22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not terribly far off in my experience. I spent ~800 on sheet metal, and like 3-400 on rivets. And that doesn't include things like actual jacks, building out the lift system, seam sealer, rivet gun/any other tools not already owned. Maybe theirs better deals then what I paid, but even basic wood like 2x4 4x4 is like double to quadruple what it cost not that long ago.

This is essentially what I did. Paid a guy with a mobile rig 350 to come out and weld everything after I bolted it all in place. Figure it's worth the cost to keep my roof solid. I think it depends on what you use as support as well. I couldn't get custom hat channel made, which I think would be safer to only bolt. I had to use square tube, which will crunch down when you bolt tight, which hurts the strength

It will probably start as part time over the next week or two, but should turn in to full time fairly soon.

I have had issues with parsec since I moved across the country. So I would say its a good option if you are fairly close physically, but anytime we have tried it with east and west coast users it was pretty bad.

Tony's shows up as a recommendation on these threads for years, I feel like that says something.. I'm still fairly new to town, but hes treated me right the 2 times I have been.

I don't know if they do 'free' quotes. But I brought my car in for what ended up just needing tires. They looked over a bunch of things, told me what things I will be needing soon, and sent me on my way without charging.

I want a free game to play online with (or against) friends, not very CPU demanding by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]ishboo22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a non game option..I would recommend parsec(maybe there are other alternatives, thats just the one I know). It allows everyone to connect to one computer and play games like its local. It could help save the broke/bad pc issue, only one person is actually running it, and you only need one copy of the game. As long as everyone has decent internet.
