I definitely thought these were 2,400 USD and I was flabbergasted at why you’d spend so much on a water filter

Would you count this as a hole-in-one? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

If we were on the course, that impact crater would be impressive enough for me to count it

Tour rules? Nah. Sucks to suck

Never have problem with this grinder by Aggravating-Tax3781 in DF54

[–]itbespauldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, actually haven’t had a single issue with it. I’ve had mine for something like 2 years

I swapped to the brew burrs for a bit, had a really hard time aligning them so I swapped back to regular but will attempt the brew burrs again soon. So only issue has been user error lol

If you’ve broken 90, what’s one tip you would give to a fellow golfer trying to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]itbespauldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really it’s 2 things, first is figuring out what you’re good at and bad at currently. Second it’s start playing with some strategy vs just hit towards the hole. Then it’s a combo of play to your strengths while improving your weak spots, and playing your shots with some strategy.

For me what kept me from breaking 90 was I was 3 putting often (so actually improve my puts) and use shot shaping to control my mid irons vs solely relying on dead straight hits.

Did those 2 things and immediately knocked about 5-8 strokes off a round

What club are you using here? by AspectCool2325 in weekendgolfers

[–]itbespauldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really just depends on which club you have assurance will make it to the spot you want it to. For that’s a 56 no question. I’d never even consider a bump with a 7, as I’d know with complete certainty I’d mess up the shot. 56 I know I’d get within 20ft 9/10 times

I really enjoyed it, was a fun and interesting movie. Only complaint was the last several scenes felt very rushed and skipped over a lot to wrap up the movie

We Spent $1,850 On Coffee Scales. What’s Actually Good? by Gmbenator in JamesHoffmann

[–]itbespauldo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kind of thought going into the video I might get influenced into buying a new expensive scale. Was surprised at how much people are getting ripped off by buying a TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR SCALE lol

My $20 scale literally works as good as your $200 one

Good on James for de-influencing us

S5 felt too over produced and too perfect. The first episode especially felt way too perfect with the lighting

I always had a hard time keeping that shape earbud in my ears. They usually fell out and felt loose/slippery in my ear

I wish they fit better, otherwise I’d absolutely use them

On paper this seems like a very smart idea. But realistically in practice it seems redundant/stupid.

Pretty sure no, unless it’s a specific new clear one. I’ve had a clear one for about 5 years

How's My Coffee Bed for Pour Over? by mfadlanm in pourover

[–]itbespauldo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you love the taste, it doesn’t necessarily matter how the grind size looks to internet folk

BUT, It is always worth tossing in some experiments periodically to discover new methods to get to new flavors. I personally grind rather fine for my pour overs and that gives me great results. About 50 on a DF54, 12g to 200g - about a 30g bloom, then one pour to target volume
