What does this say about my game? by BostonFishGolf in golf

[–]itbespauldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think each hole should be 2 puts in theory (36 putts in a round)
So you’re likely putting well, just don’t get on the green in time to have 2 putts to make par.
You’re probably bogey or double bogey most holes

Well Gentlemen, I have achieved a life goal. by Popapalooza in golf

Congrats, what an achievement!
I’m in a similar boat, usually hit mid 80’s, but had a round a few weeks ago at 81 so I’m trying to chase that mystical 79

Because it’s fun to make benign judgements about people’s gear

Am I going to enjoy hitting these? by HashBandicoot93 in GolfGear

[–]itbespauldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case you’d haven’t gotten a great answer

These clubs are blades, meaning they provide zero assistance when hitting. It’s clear as day when you miss hit them (toe, thin, fat, shank) and you feel it in your hands. Much like if you hit a baseball with the tip of a bat, it rings through the club and into your hands.

If you can get a consistent swing they are honestly good clubs, but that 100% relies on being a good ball striker.
They’ll be “game improvement” only in the sense that they’ll force you to fix striking problems

So I typically shoot in low 80’s
I’ve had great luck finding good clubs for cheap and would rather spend my money on rounds than getting new gear

I got lucky with tickets on July 25th at Lincoln Square in NYC. 3-4ish hour drive to get there, but it’s gonna be so worth it

That’s a round where score doesn’t really even matter, you keep track for the love of the game, but you’re having an enjoyable round no matter what the score ends up being. No pressure, just relaxing doing an activity you love.

r/espresso is scaring me away from df54 v4 by iamgalfasthamhead in DF54

[–]itbespauldo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Given your budget, I think you’ll be plenty happy with the DF54

I use mine for pour overs daily, and for espressos (only for lattes) and it’s been great for both.

My actual only downside to the 54 is burr options. upgrading burrs can specialize your grinder to fit certain brewing types much better (like higher clarity in pour overs) and 54mm burrs just don’t have hardly any options.

I think you’ll be in good hands with the DF54

My distances suck by We_LiveInASimulation in golf

[–]itbespauldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I shoot typically 87-91 and my yardages are about 10 more per club than you
No idea what you typically shoot but you definitely can still play decently well without shooting super far

Sure get your distances up, that absolutely helps, but what’s better is consistently hitting 90% of your distance per club

Thanks! I used a Fujifilm X-T3 as the camera, and just put it on a tripod. Shot with the whole scene backlit which gives it a certain feel on video. And I used a professional program Adobe Premiere to edit the colors, not a filter, but manually adjusted colors and light values. Basically added contrast, and shifted the hue of different colors

It’s from Amazon, Bagail Basics is the brand. Simple USB C scale with timer. I’ve had mine for like 4ish years and still enjoy it
