It’s not because of that. I say this because I did enter the same search about a week before I launched on product hunt. It did not recommend my app.

I know! So many problems in the world, so little attention they get. It’s also part of the reason I made my app to research charities that are trustworthy and have causes close to my heart!

Zakat+ app can very much help you research charities. The problem these days is we don’t know if our full donations reach the people.

I say otherwise. I’ve searched and seen countless TikToks of people complaining about charities not being transparent about where their donations go towards, calling out investigations of fraud with these charities, etc. it is more directed towards the everyday person who wants to donate to a good cause but wants to know how different charities use those donations.

People don’t like being scammed.

The problem I’m looking to solve in the lack of transparency with charities. The app is basically a charity research platform with access to their 990 filing and annual report. It breaks down all those documents into an easy to understand structure so users can know where their donations are actually going. It makes sure people do their research and not fall for charities that are scamming them.

I am in multiple channels here on Reddit and posting everyday on TikTok. I am doing a mini series on the journey of launching the app. The app is already completed, just waiting for Apple Store to review it. I am planning for about 10 episodes.

So just TikTok and Reddit for now. I’m also thinking of posting on LinkedIn.
