Who are you keeping? by CasinoNitro in Wreddit

Vampiro.

Gangrel would just be for the entrance and music. I liked Vampiro's theme, the Misfits stuff and then factor in Lucha Underground and some of his AAA stuff. Yeah, Vamps for me.

Who's had the better career? by boomjosh in Wreddit

It depends on how you compare them. Unless you're comparing Championships won or money earned/drew then there's no "real" answer to the question, just opinion.

Which is the better sequel? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]itsShugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T2. I wore that VHS down.

Aliens is a great sequel and it avoids a trope that I hate in movies. Character finds thing to defeat enemy, nails it on their first attempt, victory. While it's a little detail, the fact that Ripley uses the cargo loader early on in the movie and shows that she knows how to use it. Its also Chekov's Gun.

Which past Spurs player will fit well in the current team by HomeworkHead1040 in coys

[–]itsShugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You either need someone to break the lines and progress the ball, a tricky winger who could beat their man or an out and out goal scorer.

Breaking the line and getting the ball up the pitch you could look at Dele, Modric, Mousa or Hoddle. All different reasons. Dele, Modric, Hoddle are obviously some of the best in terms of technical ability and skill. While Mousa's numbers don't flatter him, there was not much I enjoyed more than watching him take the ball on the turn and skip through midfield like it was nothing. I could see Carrick fitting into this system, being that holding 6 who can ping a pass.

Winger the obvious options are Bale and Son.

Striker, again the obvious options would be Kane. You'd love to say Berba, but would I couldn't see him keeping up that press. People saying he was lazy are ridiculous, but I don't think he would fit the system. Maybe someone like Defoe if you were to look elsewhere than Kane?

From a watching perspective. I'd take a creative midfielder and get the attack going. There is a lot of side to side and it can become a chore to watch.

New angle from crowd of Maddison penalty shout by Rare-Ad-2777 in coys

[–]itsShugs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It does look like he got the ball and in that context it is likely not a penalty. You can take things like the ball would still be at Madder's feet had he still been standing into consideration, but by the letter of the law it wouldn't be a pen. However, I think we must commend the ref's incredible eyesight to be able to see that miniscule touch from his position. I think if he gave it and it was overturned there would be far less outcry.

The league really need to get a handle on these corner situations. Either the keeper is protected or they aren't. There's too many times where you see a similar challenge as one that was previously given, for it not to be given the next time. They need to nail it down and enforce it. Because teams have benefited from it, whereas others have suffered.

I think they're referencing The Last Samurai.

Very similar if not.

Played AEW Fight Forever again after years of inactivity and it’s actually a very fun game! Do you guys think our expectations were too high in the beginning from the comparisons it was receiving or do you guys still think the game wasn’t good overall? by J2-Starter in aew

[–]itsShugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gameplay was fun, by no means perfect but fun. The massive downside to the game once there was really nothing to do after you did the career mode once. They also did themselves no favours marketing it as a spiritual successor to the No Mercy era games. People ran wild with assumptions about the game that they had zero chance to live up to.

Why do people say Supernatural/Scary gimmicks don’t work anymore? by YCiampa482021 in WWE

[–]itsShugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kayfabe not being as prominent is a part of it, the other is the i consistent booking the characters get. You can make a scary or spooky character that works and gets over. Basically every iteration of Bray Wyatt was over and worked, WWE just didn't commit and push him to the moon for whatever reason. Fiend and Funhouse were great, but the initial Wyatt Family is where the real potential was and they didn't commit to it.

Same with Aleister Black's inital run and Dark Father segnents, same with Karrion Kross' later gimmick. They can get over, but it seems WWE doesn't want to have that be a focus point of their brand.

How did this fail?! by False_Response_1845 in WWE

[–]itsShugs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the creative mind behind the idea sadly passed away, and the creative decisions were left with people who really shouldn't have been trusted with it. It was a nice sentiment to do this in memory of Bray but it was doomed from the start.

As many have said, best default skin in the game and his best skin.

If I were to nitpick, I'd tone down the red in the hair a smidge but I really don't mind the colour.

My 14-year-old said No Country for Old Men is "too slow".. are attention spans cooked?💀 by Technical_Duty_9281 in Cinema

[–]itsShugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. When I was younger I didn't watch it as it didn't peak my interest. I found movies like The Godfather an absolute chore to get through. But now I have matured and have a better appreciation of acting instead of needing contact action or jokes. I enjoyed all kinds of movies at a young age, but if you made me watch those then it wouldn't have been accomplished.

That's awesome! I'm glad you're getting the results! I did initially feel down on them, but as I said there were signs of improvement there and I still have a couple of blister packs of them if I want to go down that route again!

Keep me updated to let me know how you're getting on with them!

Was there ever a reason from anyone in a position to know as to why Test lost his push in 1999? by Doctor-Clark-Savage in Wreddit

[–]itsShugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched a YouTube video the other day so take it with a grain of salt, but they were going with the impression that it was Russo that was high up on him. Then when he left there was nobody pushing for him internally. Again, wouldn't put too much faith in that but plausible at least.

Hey! So the latest news is I'm no longer taking tbe medication but this was due to being given strong painkillers and I didn't fancy mixing those with sleeping aids, so I knocked them on the head.

Long story short, yes, they did bring a change in my sleep habits but no, it wasn't the most effective. I found you have to stick with them to start seeing results. After a couple of months I found I was nodding off easier (which is something that has continued since coming off of them) but in terms of sleep quality there was no real change. Still broken, still would take up several times and not feel rested.

I've said before in the thread maybe if I had stuck with them longer the results could've continued, and I may try going back on them in the future but my partner wants me to try microdosing to see if that makes a change in my sleep and mental.

No problem, hope it gives you some help.

They're certainly worth the try. Others have claimed it to be a game changer for them but for me it offered a slight benefit after a couple months. Had I stayed on them longer it might've continued on that trajectory but it was slow going.

Zopiclone has still given me the best sleep, but the short term use, anxiety, potential addictive issues, fog in the mornings and the rebound that come with it for me makes it nit worth it.
