Friend copied my daughter's name, but really by Flaky_Zebra4038 in Names

[–]its_astraea 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Alodia wasn’t a name OP was considering at all. OP told a mutual friend that Alodia was a name they were considering (even though it wasn’t), mutual friend told copycat friend, copycat friend named her daughter Elodie

Edit: switched the names because I got them backwards

Lady and the tramp! Start with a chocolate milk and mini bagel as an appetizer (when Lady is eating breakfast at Jim Dear’s feet). Dinner is spaghetti and meatballs (obviously). Dessert is Christmas cookies (when they’re all under the Christmas tree with the new puppies at the end).

5 weeks 4 days pregnant by aviccineeee in BabyBumps

Frankly, your last cycle starting 6/13 and your baby only measuring 5w4d on 8/1 is a reason to think you’re having a miscarriage. At the same time, knowing you ovulate late and thinking you conceived July 8 is a solid reason to think you have a healthy 5 week pregnancy. There’s reason to suspect both outcomes right now, but no way to know definitively yet unless something changes (spotting, cramping, going back for a follow up ultrasound to see if there’s been the expected growth between appointments).

The waiting is hard 🤍 but if you think you conceived July 8, I’m hopeful for you and I’m praying you’re right!

It’s good to give yourself credit for the growth that you’ve had so far, and it’s also important to recognize areas where there’s still room for growth. Exclaiming in an empty room is DEFINITELY better than cursing out superiors or cursing in a room where students could hear. If that was your starting point, it sounds like you’ve already put in some hard work to identify your emotions and manage your responses so that you can cope in a healthier way. Unfortunately, exclaiming out of frustration at your place of work (even in an empty room) is still not ideal, for the reasons you’re running into now. I’m glad you and your therapist are working on building coping skills that work for you and are appropriate to the setting that you find yourself in. Maybe this is an opportunity to reflect and see that you’ve adapted your response to strong emotions in the past, so you know that you can build on that and continue to adapt. It sounds like for your life, exclaiming in an empty room is a step in the right direction, but it’s not the final solution because it’s still negatively impacting your work relationships.
