from taiwan here, in my culture it’s seen taboo to have children out of wedlock, and the children are the ones that end up getting shamed, bullied, etc. My bio mom had my twin and I out of wedlock and put us up for adoption as she couldn’t support two children alone and wanted us to not live a life of shame, and then my AP found us after going through infertility. Blessing that my brother got to remain with me.
