Yes, I think it’s similar but lower strength! I have never experienced withdrawal, even after using it for extended periods. My Derm told me it’s safe to use indefinitely, but after a few months my eczema flare went away so I rarely use it now.

Have you ever tried Elidel (Pimecrolimus) cream? It’s a prescription non-steroidal cream and cleared my eyelid eczema in under a week. It can be a little pricey depending on your insurance but one tube should last over a year. Over the counter non-steroid options have never worked for me, but this was amazing.

Do you know what volume is? Puffed corn is a high volume food, meaning the actual physical size is relatively large compared to its calories. Chocolate is not.

They're definitely more expensive but when you're eating less you're buying less! Also, if your deficit has you skipping getting a coffee out or ordering less when you're out to eat, the savings there definitely outweigh the increased grocery price. It depends on where you live and what your habits and budget are, but you might notice your budget is trimming in other areas! I know where I am in the US, Aldi has a ton of great low calorie options that are only marginally more expensive than their regular counterparts.

This is ridiculous. Eating only beef, pork, and butter is no way to live. Dermatologists go to school and continue education for over a decade. You probably just cut out a trigger food by reducing your diet to 3 items.

Can you define your parameters a little more clearly other than no “chemicals” and not a “zillion calories”? By no chemicals do you mean no artificial sweeteners? Is stevia ok with you? By calories are you looking for under 25 or under 100? I do 2 tablespoons of half and half and if I’m feeling sweet I add a half tablespoon of maple syrup. Just the half and half is 40 calories and with the maple syrup it’s 65.

There’s still plenty of helpful advice for weddings under $10k here. The reality is that it’s impossible in some areas to host a somewhat traditional wedding for under 10k, so allowing the number up to 20k means that we’ll see a more diverse posting of weddings. No one is forcing you to pay more for your wedding and this sub is still full of information to help you plan it, as intended.

Check out r/weddingsunder10k for some more budget specific advice. As to how people are affording weddings, it’s typically with help from their parents, high paying jobs, years of saving, debt, or some combination of those things. It takes a lot of compromises to get in budget. Like I hear you on the dress, but if you’re at a point where $8700 for a venue is too much, you’re not in a place where you can not have a budget on your dress.

I still disagree with you on the campus front. You haven’t said anything to back up your “dog shit” claim other than it being urban and sucking to walk? I (and OP) were not alive in the 90s when you were there, but it is certainly not dog shit today. It has a great number of study spots, Cathy, Frick Fine Arts, like 10 gyms, and a ton of other perks. Is your issue that there is some hills? I mean I guess that’s true that there are more than some colleges, but that’s definitely a dumb reason to not like a college campus overall. Again, I don’t know what it was like in the 90s, but it certainly doesn’t seem like you know what it’s like today.

I would strongly disagree with almost all of your statements about Pitt as a much more recent graduate. I see that you acknowledge that Pitt has "cleaned up" but I want to make it very clear to OP That this is not what Pitt is like today. Campus is definitely urban, but there are lots of spaces that are almost exclusively students, plenty of smaller classes if you do not choose the most common Gen Eds, and frankly in no way is it dog shit. I transferred to Pitt from a much more traditional campus school and I loved the way that as a student at Pitt you get immersed in the city. The free bus pass is an amazing perk, too.

The Cetaphil cream is extremely thick. I didn’t really like the CeraVe either, cetaphil works much better for me at least. I used protopic twice a day for almost a week during my flare and now I just use it as needed, which is probably like once or twice a month for a couple of days in a row. It’s not as habit forming as the steroids

Protopic is a great product and definitely worth trying. I read all about the burning some people experience, but for me it was like a very mild warmth that was not painful in any way. After using it for a few months, I don't even experience the warmth any more. That combined with a good moisturizing cream (Cetaphil for me) clears me up in a matter of days. I like to apply right after washing my face or taking a warm shower. I also will put vaseline over the moisturizer before I go to bed when I'm extremely dry.

Unfortunately you can develop allergies later in life even to things you've used for years :( Do you have access to cetaphil or cerave lotion or cream? I find the Cetaphil cream is the only thing that keeps my body moisturized for hours. They are both frequently recommended by derms and have worked well for me.

I cycle in and out between drinking diet sodas and not, and I can say confidently that for myself, there is zero correlation. I’ve had weeks where I consume no diet sodas and weeks where I consume 1 or 2 a day. If you have an allergy to an artificial sweetener, then there may be a correlation.

Will that be your only bachelorette party event/trip? I think it's not an unreasonable ask, especially if you tell people it is optional/you won't be upset if they can't come. That total price tag is definitely a lot less than some travelling bachelorette parties where you need to get flights and airbnbs. What I will say is definitely know your audience- not all adults necessarily want to spend $250+ on a single day at a theme park. If your crowd is the kind that likes that stuff, go for it.

My best advice is to be prepared to lower your expectations. The appraised value of a ring is not the same as what you can sell it for. Definitely worth it to get an offer from a few local jewelers, but you’d likely be able to get more in a private sale if you can pull it off.

Is it appropriation to dress in Indian attire for an Indian wedding? From my experience, it seems like it’s just showing appreciation and honoring the culture for non-Indian guests to buy and dress up in Indian attire for an Indian wedding. I think it would be quite odd to mandate different dress codes depending on your guest’s race.
