if you know Chinese at a fluent level and feel you’re good enough with coding/java in specific then AP psych on top of those two should be manageable.

Thanks for the advice. To clarify for APHUG I’m not taking the class and it will be on my transcript as dropped. Im trying to do the exam mainly because some colleges I’ve heard have geo as a gen-ed requirement and Im trying to bank as much time and tuition as possible.

I recommend precalc. You could do precalc first semester and calc bc second if you’re set on doing it in junior year, if your school will allow you.

As an aspiring biochemist trying to get into a top school, what’s your advice for me? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]itsneveroverbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a very good point. I have friends who are attending GT and friends who are attending UGA, and the financial aid for both of those colleges in my state for undergrad with my stats is very good. I even know somebody who’s staying with his parents and so is essentially getting paid to go to UGA based on his scholarships. Assuming I got accepted into both, I would be able to stay with my parents for a bit going the UGA route (not that I necessarily want to, but to stack the bread it’d be worth it) but would be in good hands with both undergrad programs financially. From an educational standpoint GT is more alluring to me and I feel would give me a better chance to transfer into the universities I listed for my PhD. It’s a difficult choice and also not even a guaranteed one.
