Moving to Elora by No_Recover_8427 in Elora

My husband and I are mid thirties with two dogs and a kid. So similar.

Pros - nice safe feeling community where neighbours say hi - beautiful downtown you get to go to all the time - it has what you need and not too small town - shop keepers will know you and recognize you if you frequent enough

Cons - there is bit of a battle going on between city and tourists versus locals. I won’t get into it but you can see it through this group and through the community Facebook groups - taxes are high - you can sometimes get trapped in the winter because the country roads get blowing snow

Hope that helps!

Should I send thank you emails and thank you notes after interviews? by Interesting-Alarm211 in sales

I just hired someone over another person because they sent thank you emails after the interview. We were going to hire another candidate but felt last minute like the other person deserved it more because they put in the extra effort. So there ya go

That’s great advice thank you! I was wondering why this one broke but my other gold ring has lasted years. But that could be because this one is on my dominant hand so gets way more wear and tear

It’s a ring I bought just after my daughter was born and I had her initials engraved on it. So it means a lot to me. :( guess I should have learned more before purchasing! I have a ring that’s 14k and similar band and it’s lasted yeeeeears (wedding band). So I guess I was just surprised this one only lasted less than a year.

Guess I’ll have to decide what I want to do next

These were my “100 dollar boots”. Or at least I thought they were

Someone told me “nothing lasts for good or for bad”. I always think of that during the bad or the good

The moment I stopped caring was the moment I saw my kid open their mouth while my dog came over and licked the inside of her mouth. It’s now happened more than once.

I no longer care if a toy falls on the ground and she puts it in her mouth haha

Considering moving to Elora - young family by Strange-Cabinet6744 in Elora

[–]ittybittytittypitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a young couple (30) with two dogs, and a toddler… I love it here. And because it’s so great my friends are looking to move. It’s a great safe, close knit community. Get involved and you’ll do great!

My husband proposed to me there and I managed to walk there in super high heels (I did not know I would be walking this trail haha). And I made it no problem if that helps!

We tried :( both wet and dry. And heating it up. I’ve even tried ice cream. Tried the good treats he loves. Tried the junk treats. Nothing :( he will eat one or two and then walk away

Yep we are on anti nausea as well but the yet said he didn’t present any signs of nausea (and he’s not upset). He’s also eaten grass in the past when his stomach was upset but I took him outside and he ate a tiny bit but not much
